Thank you, very much, for your suggestion. You may well be right; that may be all that was needed. However, before I saw your reply, I did the following… That does seem to have solved my problem.
Was working fine when playing online the night before. Since then I’ve had no Windows or DCS updates so, I reckoned the only thing that can have changed would be the contents of my SavedGames folder.
So, I decided to backup and then DELETE my SavedGames folder and try firing up DCS again. It worked!!! DCS recreated my SavedGames folder. I then reinstated backed up control settings, missions, server settings, mods, SRS, TacView and stuff to newly created SavedGames folder (ignoring any cache folders), tried DCS again and it now loads and seems to function properly again. So, SORTED!!!
Now for a few hours crash!
