  1. Could I use a Command ID trigger? I believe the command id for CAGE/SEAM on the F14 is 3002. It's not the exact same thing as acquiring a missile lock but it could work for what I'm hoping to accomplish.
  2. Hi all, Is it possible to write a script for a trigger based on getting a missile lock? Fox example, if the user (F-14) acquires a missile lock (sidewinder) then a sound would play. Thoughts?

  4. Hello, You are correct that it's a single player mission and I'm using the F-14. I really like your suggestion regarding the weight-on-wheels + moving trigger and will give that a try. Thank you!
  5. Hey All, I'm creating a mission where I'd like the mission to end once the player successfully lands back on the carrier. I have a few other triggers leading up to that point (certain units equal dead, etc), but what is a good trigger for a successful landing? I've tried messing with speed and altitude minimums but can't quite get it to work properly. Thoughts? Thank you!
  6. Hello - I've seen posts that describe how to utilize a keyboard press to initiate a trigger that is binded to a cockpit switch. Is there a way to have a keyboard press trigger to play a sound?

    Help w/F-14b Skins

    Hey All, I can't figure out the proper pathing to upload and use F-14b skins for OpenBeta. The two skins I have downloaded are: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3304380/ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3319199/ The path I've tried is: Users>myself>savedgames>DCS.openbeta>Liveries>F14>f-14b>pasted the zipped file folder. I've tried a few different combinations but can't quite get it to work. Any help would be much appreciated.
  9. Is there a trigger sequence to spawn in a different, but specific, aircraft once your current aircraft is shot down? I have a "player" aircraft sitting in parking "hot" and I want to spawn into that specific aircraft once I'm shot down in my current aircraft (the one I start the mission with).
  10. I'd like to have the SAM site hold fire when my aircraft is above a certain altitude (5000) and fire on me below a certain altitude (4999). I can't figure out the proper sequencing of triggers. Thank you! MissionTester.miz
  11. I'd love your assistance once again - I've been able to set up the SAM sites. I'm now interested in setting up a trigger so that they don't fire on me unless I'm above 8,000ft. I've tried a number of different combinations of tasks and triggers but can't seem to find the right combo. Mission attached. Thank you! MissionTester.miz

  13. Hey All - I'm trying to get SA-3 SAMs to fire at me but no luck. I'll eventually add a trigger to it but I can't even get them to shoot me down all by themselves. I've tried a SA-3 template AND SA-3 + SA-3 TR combo with no luck. Mission attached.... any suggestions would be great. Thank you! MissionTester.miz

  15. Hey All - I'm just starting out using triggers in mission editor (Beta) and am running up against an issue. I've watched a few videos on basic trigger function but hitting a wall. What I'm trying to happen: When my F-18 fly's through a trigger zone, I want my destroyer to fire on a designated target. Target Area identified on map F-18: Part of blue coalition and user flown Naval Group: Country USA, Arleigh Burke, Advanced Waypoint Actions: 1. Hold 2. Fire at Point Trigger: Type: Once, No Event. Condition: Part of Coalition is in Trigger Zone, Blue coalition, Unit Type: All, Actions: Group Resume (here is where my issue is, I'm unable to select the naval group). A few questions: 1. Any idea why the naval group wouldn't show up as an option for "Group Resume"? 2. Overall, is "Group Resume" the correct action for what I'm trying to accomplish? 3a. Is Advanced Waypoint Actions: 1. Hold and 2. Fire at Point the correct sequencing? 3b. If so, is "Group Resume" the best action to use in this scenario? 4. For what I'm trying to accomplish, is there a better trigger combination I should use? Again my goal is: F-18 fly's through trigger zone, destroyer shoots at a target only when I fly through the trigger zone and not before. Thank you!
