Found the problem. Helios had wrong monitor width and aspect ratio.

My default view in the cockpit is looking out the left side by the mfd. Have tried deleting the view folder in saved games. Don't have snapshots and have even deleted from steam account and re-installed. Still off center. Numpad 5 centers to looking left out the cockpit. Track IR is turned off. How do I get the centered view back?
