  1. I actually agree to the above - flying over sea does not cause any stuttering or lags however the moment when I approach the coast/where scenery starts to load that is also when the lag starts. So yeah something is definitely wrong with 2.9, Hopefully it will be resolved soon.
  2. Hello there, That is correct my cpu is Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6500 which is currently about 6 years old, GTX 1070 graphics card, 32 GB RAM, F Drive which is SSD (where DCS is currently installed) has plenty of space in it. Pagefile set to around 30GB within that Drive. I tried to play around with graphics however I am still getting lags/stutters on even Low/Medium settings. Something has changed during this update - As before the update, it was running smoothly with no lags/stutters whatsoever even on high settings. Is there a way to revert back to previous build?
  3. Hi All, I recently updated DCS to latest version and since then I am experiencing stutters/lags in performance which really ruins the experience for me. I am not sure what has changed in latest update, however before the update everything was running smoothly on my current settings (High). All of NVidia drivers are up to date and DCS is installed on SSD. As I said before the update everything was running fine with no lags or stutters. I am on open beta version Anyone experiencing similar issues? dcs.log
  4. Hello, I have tried all of solution above - weirdly It only happens occasionally and with only F14 module. The other modules work fine with no problems.
  5. Hello - thanks I will have a look.
  6. Okay I don't why but the same issue started again, couple of mins into same scenario and controls/keyboard stop working. Only mouse works for some reason as result I have to press CTRL+ALT+DEL to go to taskbar but then it crashes. I am attaching the log below. dcs.log
  7. Thanks - Apparently it was something to do with pagefile size. If it happens again then I shall post a log here.
  8. Greetings, 3 weeks into DCS and I am fully enjoying every bit sim has to offer. I currently own FA18 Hornet/Supercarrier/Persian Gulf/UH-1H Huey modules. I also have Stick/rudder pedals/throttle and headset and looking for squadrons to join who are accepting new players. Experienced with civil aviation including IRL GA pilot and new to combat sim. Any suggestions?
  9. Hi All, I recently came across strange behaviour where 3-4 mins into my session, all of sudden my joystick/keyboard becomes unresponsive. Pressing ALT+TAB does not not anything either. The only way is to press CTRL+ALT+DEL and task manager to close DCS. Not sure what is going on there, I am on DCS open beta latest version and NO I am not using any headtracking stuff. I currently own Persian Gulf, Supercarrier and F18 Hornet modules. I have also got F14 tomcat, Huey and P51 mustang as trial modules. My System specs: i5 6500 Cpu, GTX 1070 8GB Graphics card and 32GB Ram. DCS is currently installed on SSD. Any suggestions?
  10. Thanks guys - I will have a look. Quick question If I were to buy a aeroplane for instance lets say FA18 hornet - The product page says that it includes aeroplane and a aircraft carrier. what about missions?
  11. Hi All, I am new to DCS and I am currently downloading the base file. Now I am not new to flight sim as I have quite a lot of experience flying complex aeroplanes like Boeing and airbuses. I understand the base installer 2.7 includes two aeroplanes, But where I do begin? Anything that I need to be aware of? I know the concept of flying but new to combact sim. I can also see there are lots of DLC available but for instance If I just buy an aeroplane, do I have to buy the missions separately? Also my system specs: - Intel i5-6500 - GTX 1070 8GB Graphics Card - 32GB DDR4 Ram - I also have 1 TB SSD - Windows 10 home 64 bit
  12. Hi All, I am new to DCS World however an experienced flight simmer with hundreds of hours flying complex jets and GA aircraft. Also a real world GA pilot.
