I have been watching Growling Sidewinder on Youtube for a while, and it enticed me to buy a bunch of computer gear, get back into playing computer games. He and I are going to talk sometime! haha
So- the issue- I have put together a pretty good system (for me); Asus B350 Prime Plus 5000 series ready, Ryzen r7 2700 with 2x1 tb NVME, 32gb 3200 Ram, Radeon rx 6750 xt gpu and corsair elite cpu aio cooling system. This was essentially all for this game.
I downloaded BETA and all was ok-ish. I was trying to join a friend in multiplayer and could not find him. So, I installed the other. It played a couple times but crashed every time. Log files have been sent in when possible.
I fought with it for a while, couple weeks or so. A couple days I loaded win 10 on a new NVME, downloaded the game and was able to fly. When I went to the map and tried to f1 back or tried to restart flying, it crashed every time. I put in an older video card, and VIOLA all was good.
Now, I put the old ssd back in, thinking that I could fly on it with the new old card, and I cant get past the loading screen.
I uninstalled and even deleted the Eagle files, downloaded the game again last night, and cannot get past the loading screen.
I deleted the video card drivers, no joy. Nothing works, which is very odd after reinstalling.
Do I have to clear something from the registry? Has it corrupted windows? I REALLY do not want to have to lose everything on the original hard drive just for a game, but this system is 95% for gaming, and just this game.
Please help if possible, and talk to me like I am stupid. I have been out of computer gaming and chasing registries for decades, do not know how to do that anymore.
