  1. Hi guys New to DCS, just updating some equipment before I am delving into the sim. A question: I have an old TrackIR4 with the reflector hat. I don’t fancy VR for different reasons at the time being. Is it worth upgrading to a TrackIR5 however? Or shall I rather go – as a considerably cheaper alternative - for the TrackIR Track Clip Pro? What would you recommend? Thanks!
  2. Thanks Mate! I ordered it, should arrive on 9 December
  3. Thanks for your replies and recommendations guys! About to order from their website, but their order system complains about not recognising my home address (I live in Central Europe). Hopefully this won't be a problem for the delivery... Annoying they only seem to accept PayPal as the sole payment method and not regular credit cards; seems I'll have to open a PayPal account
  4. Thanks! So the Orion 2 throttle with finger lifts is set then... Still a bit undecided whether I shall go for the F-16EX stick or the FA-18 Hornet stick. Is the shake kit for the F-16EX more than a funny gimmick? Does it only work in DCS or in other sims as well? I d'like to use the stick for the WW2 sim Il-2 as well, so I don't mind if I have an F-16EX or FA-18 stick, as intend to use it for different aircraft types. Guess I'll have to find out which stick (F16EX or F18) is more versatile...
  5. Hi guys New here, so I start with a noob question My first experience with combat flight sims dates back to 1990, with «Jet» on my Amiga. Spent some time on WW2 sims, after a long break I am trying to engage myself with DCS now. I have real flying experience (having flown commercially in Business Aviation), but no experience in modern combat flight sims. Decided that my old X52 is not fit for DCS, thought of getting a Thrustmaster Warthog, but I am currently favouring either the WinWing Orion 2 Max (F-16EX stick with shake kits and Finger lift for the Orion 2 dual throttle) WinWing Orion 2 Metal (w/o shake kits and Finger lift) WinWing Orion 2 Hotas F/A Super Hornet I am not interested in a particular aircraft, guess the F/A-18 or A-10 would be a good start. Dual throttle is a must. I am a bit unsure which of the above sticks you recommend; are the finger lifts on the WinWing Orion 2 Max a «must have»? I don’t mind using an F-16EX stick while flying a Hornet in DCS. What do you think regarding a decent throttle/stick for a DCS newcomer? Thanks! [PS: I initially errorenously posted this questions in the PC Hardware forum, apologies for my mistake]
