  1. REAL WORLD carrier aircraft need the launch bar down to engage the catapult. No idea if DCS does it some other way. I thought I read something about it not being visible. You'll find it.
  2. Thank You! You nailed it. I had everything setup correctly, disabled the "Hot Plug" and everything did what it is supposed to do. No crossovers. The stick hat does trim now. Is there a way to get the mouse to move the view camera like it does outside, but in the cockpit? Any suggestions on alternate cockpit viewing/selecting setups. My track IR was made in the last century and two moves ago, and the cat ate the sensor cord. Repaired it, packed it, haven't seen it since. OBTW... the Misc Sync was already off. So the hot plug was the whole cure. Thanks again.
  3. No Joy. Cleared all controller assigned axis and switches. Manually assigned all axis first, then button mapping. Tested each one to be sure they all worked in controller setup. Good, right? Nope! Gave it the ok for a test flight. C##P. Got the left engine started normally, Had to use the keyboard to start the right engine. Control check went crazy.... moved the rudder, and the engines went to full power. Brakes didn't work either. Moved both throttles to cut off, no response. ESC to stop. Why is a good control system not working? the only thing good was I was able to start both engines. I am NOT going to fly with the keyboard! ARGH... I RTFM
  4. Stick and Throttle seem to be OK, Rudder is identified properly but does not accept axis inputs? At least so far anyways. Work in progress. Thank you all for the pointers.
  5. Jumped in with both feet. Now to get it working... Have: new alienware computer (Win 11), DCS loaded, Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog stick and throttle, Thrustmaster TFRP peddals. Never used TARGET. Old stick was HOTAS Cougar with Lock On and FOXY. Got the gear, now need help setting everything up. HELP Please.
  6. A10 C II Game mode. So, Game mode is not the best way to learn how to get the controls working. I had hoped to be able to fly longer than a minute after take off without getting shot down. Guess I'll have to dive into the deep end and try to figure it out. I usually take small incremental steps first, just to get the kinks out before committing to battle plans. I miss my cougar's 28 buttons already. Back to the books for me. Thanx for the heads up Thunder.
  7. Wound up here due to LOMAC. Loved it, until it would not work any more. So now I have to get this working, and need help. First of all... need the stick to work correctly. All efforts so far have failed. I set up the axis and needed button controls, save as. OK. Go to game and get not one of the key bind and axis settings to work. Defaults to game normal... X + Y only. Ignores everything but trigger and drop. To make matters worse, trims on the keyboard don't work either. I'm doing something wrong. Manual seems to be out of date, I don't see the same page displays/selections they show in the manual on my game. Read the long and short control setups, Save as, OK. and nothing changes. Have a Cyborg Extreme 3D. Also, a HOTAS Cougar I'd love to get working.(coulden't get Foxy or TARGET to work.) Last worked on FOXY in XP. Now have new PC with Win 11. Ouch. Please HELP if you can. Thanx in Advance, Dave
