DCS: VMFP-3 Eyes of the Corps RF-4B Squadron Welcome to the Eyes of the Corps. If you are looking to fly an aircraft which was the pinnacle of US Marine Naval operations look no further than the RF-4B. Founded in 2024, VMFP-3 aims to provide a relaxed mil-sim squadron flying the F/A-18C Hornet in anticipation for Heatblur's F-4E and RF-4B. Because of this we don't expect members to be highly proficient in either the RF/A-18C nor the Phantoms until release and initial training will focus on the mission planning and execution. Despite that however, we do expect some level of competancy in the Hornet, such as the ability fly the Case I pattern, operate the targeting pod and use SRS. Squadron Principles & Mission: We aim to accurately replicate RF-4B missions of the 1960s and 70s and fly by-the-book. Members will be expected to grow familiar with the RF-4B NATOPS, RF-4B Mission Planning and understand the limitations of the aircraft. Our assigned mission is to conduct aerial multi-sensory imagery reconnaissance, utilizing photographic , infrared and side-looking radar equipment in support of fleet operations.
