  1. No. AI wingman cannot datalink "contacts" to you unfortunately. The only target symbology I've ever seen appear on the TAD is the red diamond facilitated through JTAC.
  2. Absolutely. I was going to make a separate post regarding this subject. The text only gets in the way and needs an on/off toggle.
  3. Thanks for the welcome and response WarriorX. I was operating under the premise that "contact" would occur the moment I datalinked my SPI to them but, unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case. I would hope this is indeed, as you implied, simply a matter of the state of the current beta build. If not, I'm afraid AI wingmen will be permanently grounded back at the FOB, as their functional utility in the simulation, at least temporally, resides just slightly above the threshold of zero. I suppose I better refine my airmanship and reconcile my AI disappointment by logging some MP time. :) Thanks again.
  4. Hello all. I was attempting to learn to use the SADL datalink with my AI wingman during an instant action mission (beta3). My tactical plan was to have him to hit the SAM at WP 5 while I ingress from a different direction and clear out the rest of the armor at that location. Unfortunately, if I order him to engage prior to him announcing "contact" (usually occurs around 2nm) he will reply with a negative or an unable. I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong? I have my SPI set to the target area with my broadcast "on" via DMS Left Long, but he refuses to engage until he's made a visual identification. Can someone please clear up what I might be doing incorrectly? :joystick: Thanks very much.
  5. I apologize if this has been addressed, but to clarify, Will beta4 be the first build that implements the CBU-105/97 SFW as per RL specifications, or was it the plan that beta4 only focus on the INS guidance issues surrounding the WCMD? Thanks in advance. Having a blast with the sim. Stupid pun intended :D
  6. Here's how I did it: Click Mission -> Quickstart -> en -> Select the mission you wish to edit, in your case "East Georgia - Spring.miz". -> Open it and go into the mission planner. Select your aircraft so the menu system pops up and from there, save the mission as "East Georgia - Spring_2.miz" or whatever you like. I like naming them in order of my edits. _2, _3, etc. Exit mission planner, re-open your newly saved _2.miz and edit your payload without concern of messing up the original instant action. Enjoy.
