  1. hi guys thanks for the replys I got it working. I installed dcs world to a new hard drive and then did blackshark first, seems fine now. maybe the program got confused with the upgrade on bs1 the first time as I had it installed but it told me I had to have it installed.
  2. hi guys I got a issue with Ka50 and the auto update. first of all I downloaded the new dcs world and installed with no issues. then done auto update which seemed to work fine. that puts me at 1.2.15.37241 then I installed my modules one by one. got as far as KA50 which is a upgrade from DCS Blackshark 1. first it said I have to have it installed and registered which it already was so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. then put the code in and loaded it up fine. then tried the KA50 Module again and the error I get now is DCS World 1.2.15.27241 must be installed. I have checked it over several times and even copy and pasted the main game folder into a new area but I get the same message over and over. so I figure I would try update again. and instead I get cant run f:\eagle dynamics\dcs world\bin\bin/launcher.exe: (2) the system cannot find the file specified. I have completely wiped the game out of my system and restarted and im getting the same thing. anyone got any ideas? ps I have tried running as admin also. and even created a folder called bin inside bin and pasting the launcher.exe in there but it threw up a new error . thanks
  3. Thanks guys. I think I found the issue. I deleted the drivers from my computer and went into the registry and removed any signs of my stick being plugged in. then installed the drivers and plugged the joystick into a different usb port the game now works.. so I thought lets go back to the original port and the game started crashing again.. so from what I can gather the drivers are still there in that port somewhere.. put the usb lead back into the other port and the game fired up as normal.. now I am getting the odd crash so I turned off Force feedback and it seems to crash a lot less.. so my conclusion is that Windows 8 haven't got correct drivers for my joystick even though they are listed on there website. reason for thinking this is when going to setup usb controller soon as I press a fire button to test force feedback the app crashes Windows Shell common Dll has stopped working. which is something that I have just discovered. I will find a fix and report back so anybody else with this issue will be ok . :)
  4. thanks Flagrum sorry about the post in the wrong place :( didn't know it was.. Im thinking joystick too.. it crashes if there is anything usb plugged in or not.. but last night it seemed to run and I didn't do anything. accept plug the joystick in when the game was running. bit strange. so I tried il2 and my joystick had no force feedback.. infact there was no centre spring at all .. btw im using a Saitek cyborg evo force. I shall take a look for drivers for this now and see if that helps . and post back .. thanks mate

  7. Hi all. im sorry if this as been mentioned before I play mainly helicopter side of dcs world and wanted to do some carrier ops maybe 2 teams at sea in some hueys having a battle or just some fun. so I created a mission and set the carrier to travel at 27 knots so that some p51 pilots or even a aircraft without a tailhook could have fun trying to land the problem is soon as any one lands on a moving carrier they stutter slowly forward till finaly they drop off the front of the ship. even helicopters do it. also you cant call ground crew for repairs while this is happening any ideas if there is a fix for this? or are we waiting for one of ED and also do they know about falling through parking areas on the US carrier? Thanks guys
