  1. Where and how do I see the LSO grades?

    Just started messing around with carrier ops and to my surprise my 1st attempt was pretty good. However, the only feedback i got was in the message history? LSO: GRADE NC : No proper communications. NC is not even listed on the LSO GRADE chart on page 46 Super Carrier PDF guide.

  2. I'm looking for a write up or video guide on this subject but cant seem to find much on it. Can someone point to something on this please. I'm sure its very similar in all air-frames. The mils settings, A/G and A/A, and proper techniques while using the manual mode would be great. thanks!

  3. Never-mind, i see this has been named the update loop. Is Hollywood from Ukraine or Russia? His MIA does not look good for the future of this project but more importantly his well being.

    When I start voiceattack/viacom pro i get a box that ques me to update for support for AH64 module, build 2.5.27.3 but when I agree  voicattack/viacom pro restarts and the UI on the PTT screen say that im still running 2.5.26.4 version? Everytime i start it tells me to update to the newest version but does not seem to?

  4. I bought the DVD version a while back and wanted to fire it up within DCS World. I am a little confused on just how I do this. The DVD version is 1.0. I install the 1.2.1 upgrade but it keeps asking for a activation code. I do not see a upgrade in the e-shop for the retail DVD version. I must be missing something?

  5. thx Plainsight..I changed it but still runtime issues.

    I actual get a number of error message

    1st when I first start BS

    2nd when I try to go to the options UI

    Are these normal?

    3rd the crash runtime message

    4th a error massage after the runtime error

  6. I have been trying to get this set up with no success. I have read many posts and tried it all. I need to come crawling for help. Can someone help me out? I keep getting c++ run-time error...

  7. I have installed phantom monitor fix and have gotten the shkval and abris on the left monitor and the cockpit on the center...the problem is the cockpit view is like 160x900.

    It seems the total display area is limited to the standard UI selectable resolution option levels...in my case 1440x900.

    Is there a way to bypass or add custom resolution to this selectable resolutions?

  8. I know this has been discussed before, but I'm at a loss. I have some questions...

    Im running Vista 32bit on a laptop at resolution 1440x900 and to the left a standard monitor at 1280x1024

    I want to do right monitor Shkval/Abris and then center cockpit...does that mean there is a phantom monitor to the right side?

    Description = 'test'

    Viewports =

    {

    Center =

    {

    x = 1280;

    y = 0;

    width = 1440;

    height = 900;

    viewDx = 0;

    viewDy = 0;

    aspect = 1.6;

    }

    }

    Shkval =

    {

    x = 0;

    y = 0;

    width = 640;

    height = 900/2;

    }

    ABRIS =

    {

    x = 640;

    y = 0;

    width = 640;

    height = 900;

    }

    Option.lua

    ["fullScreen"] = false,

    ["aspect"] = 3.022222,

    ["height"] = 900,

    ["resolution"] = "2720x900",

    ["width"] = 2720,

    Is there anything I'm doing wrong here? Is there another program that I need to get this to work on two monitors because currently all three Shkval/ABRIS/Cockpit all are displayed on the center monitor?

  9. How so? All the information I can get is stuff from the mass media.

    So, what is the difference between getting your information from Google or from a coffie table book ?

    Some of it will be good and some of it will be junk.

    Remember you can always Google the manufacturers and see what they have to say about their own designs.

    How so? :)

    Im not here to blast anyone, but compared to the source and the context of the starter of this thread. It seems to indicate to me the direction this thread has gone with the quote I mentioned above.

    Just my 2cents.

  10. I think I know what it is, was you flying on the Walmis's F-15C Eagle model ? You don't need to turn the reflection off

    I'm sure that your COCKPIT-GLASS-STANDARD.TGA (in which .CDDS file i don't remember) has been changed, it's now in black color instead of default white color so it's your problem. If you don't have any backup of the original COCKPIT-GLASS-STANDARD.TGA, you should open Walmis's f15_maintextures.cdds with Modman 5's CDDS Browser, find F15-GLASS.TGA and extract it, rename the F15-GLASS to COCKPIT-GLASS-STANDARD then install it, everything will be recovered.

    In the Walmis's models, he renamed the COCKPIT-GLASS-STANDARD.TGA to F15-GLASS for his model

    With your black glass as yours and the reflection's on, you'll have the same black cockpit from inside on all other flyable plane such as: Su-27/ Su-33/ Mig-29, etc......

    Man Im having a hard time doing this: I using modman bowser like you said but im not sure how to extract then rename then insert the file. I extract the tga file into the temp folder in the bowser, then change name? Then I need to insert that file into the same cdds? I cant seem to figure out how to insert the newly named file. Will it be listed by its new name?

  11. There's at least one other reason . . . bad experiences with other online games.

    I'm a female. And one of two things happen when I have tried to play other online games:

    1. I am constantly hit upon
    2. I am shunned . . . and often accused of being a guy (because "girls don't play computer games").

    The other reason is that female pilots aren't even in LOMAC (neither graphically or in voice files). Why is that? I really hope that BS fixes this.

    Female pilots were neglected in EECH as well, but I have installed a mod that fixes this. Here's my Hokum 50 pilot:

    AlligatorFemalePilot.jpg

    I bet if you hooked up with a mature group/ squad that would be a thing of the past. Its cool to see a female virtual pilot though.

  12. That might change soon...;)

    rgr that Goon...The mission on the other night was very good. The 44th flew as a 3 ship. I was flight lead and made the decision to press further into enemy air space knowing that myself (lead) and number 2 were a couple thousand pounds of fuel above Joker. We turned away from safe airspace and pushed some 120-150nm away from home plate. We did some tactical maneuvering and placed ourselves on the flank of 2 bandits 30-40nm. We were in a perfect wall and aggressively pushed into them and used our numbers advantage against them and proceeded to hunt them down. A classic 3 v 2.

    As we just finished splashing the last of the 2 bandits we got RWR hit indicating another bandit was close. 1 and 2 were Winchester...both well below bingo. I did a OPS check and determine 3 is at joker with 2 actives. I send 3 to intercept the inbound bandit knowing that 1 and 2 have no recourse except to RTB at minimal fuel consumption. 3 splash the bandit allowing the flight to RTB and recover all 3 aircraft.

    Adding fuel and tactical issues is something that has been missing from online servers for some time.

    Thx bud...I will give that a try later.

  14. I meant no offence Eagle. Please read part of a question I sent to Pilotasso. It was his response to a question regarding a BVR Engagement between an F15 and Su27.

    Humm np. First, I don’t remember that post a link would be cool. Second, I never switch it on and off to be invisible...that is gaming the game. I use my jammer to break lock...if I’m not locked up my jammer is off. Lock me up from greater then burn through range and I will likely go jammer on to break lock.

  15. Humm using jammers to break locks is now consider not playing fair. Funny I must be confusing lockon as some kind of flight sim or something.

    "Electronic Systems has developed, produced and continually upgraded the internal countermeasures system for the U.S. Air Force's F-15 frontline tactical fighter. As part of the most advanced integrated defensive system ever produced, the AN/ALQ-135 system detects and jams enemy radar signals automatically".
