  1. There is a P-51 autopilot mod by pxllux . It's easy to install and it works great. The autopilot requires a 3 button sequence of the radio freq buttons for its commands I programmed it into a single CH throttle button with 8 button pushes for each mode: Level flight engage (3 pushes) - Off (radio button) (1 push) - Disengage (3 pushes) - Off (radio button) (1 push). Then 8 more button pushes for Altitude & bank hold. If I want to use level flight back to back, I just quickly cycle thru the 8 Hold button pushes and its ready for level flight to engage. I found the Off radio button is needed so the wrong freq button is not set for the next engage or disengage. To use the radio, a freq button can be pressed as usual without affecting the autopilot since the autopilot requires a 3 button sequence. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/filter/user-is-pxllux/apply/
  2. Thanks for you reply silverdevil. I used notepad and a lot of copy and paste to edit the logbook.lua. I found the problem with the hours, I had left the kill ratio setting blank in the logbook file. Once I entered a value for that, 10 to 1, it started logging my hours. Then I used the P-51 “Ground attack solo practice” training mission 3 or 4 times for testing and every time I came out of the flight, my pilot got promoted or another medal, including the metal of honor, for a training flight no less…. jeez. I reset my kill ratio to the totals of all my previous pilots which is about a 3 to 1 ratio, I’ll see how that goes. Yes, take care of those floppy discs, I used a stack of 3 floppies to shim up one corner of my keyboard where the leg was broken!
  3. “Between us, Rudel_chw, silverdevil and MAXsenna have close to a 100 years of IT administration experience…..” Maybe you guys could answer a couple of questions for me. 1. In the logbook.lua file there are “static” lines, like ["static"] = 0, or it may be some number like ["static"] = 144, . There is a static line for every aircraft and a total static line which is the sum of all the plane static lines. Does anyone know what the static line numbers are referring to? 2. Also in the logbook is a single “killRatio” line like ["killRatio"] = "272/108", . What does this refer to, is it combined A-A and A-G kills or just A-A kills? Per what? Per flight? 3. I combined several pilots (stats) from my logbook.lua file into a single pilot in a new logbook file. Now when I fly the P-51D or the FA-18C the logbook does not log the increased hours. Any ideas? Thanks
  4. You don't have to wait for the hydraulic pressure to drop. You can get the same stab angle as the parked F-18s by doing this: Before you shut down put the flaps to full down, then trim the stabs to full nose down, -11 degrees, which you can see by selecting FCS on an MFD. The stabs are then identical to the parked planes. The thing I can't figure out is how to set the rudders to a straight position like the parked planes have. When the flaps are down the rudders are in a speed brake position. Maybe they will straighten when the hydraulic pressure is gone, I haven't tried that.
