Thanks Flappie. I just had my hardware settings checked. I am afraid that is what causes my problems.

I think I found out that My hardware is not able to perform. I get response now, but with a lot of latency and shocks. Is there a way in the settings to enhance performance, or do I just need a game PC? Thx, Tony

Hi all, it seems the original text hasn't been processed. I am brandnew to the game, so please forgive me my ignorance. 1. DCS created 2 icons on my desktop. Does it make any difference what to click? 2. I use a keyboard and a joystick (Logitech Force 3D Pro). They are recognised in the controls section, and I can e.g. test the axis features. However, as soon as I start any activity, there is no response from any input. After starting any (free) mission, I can't change anything and ultimately I crash or nothing happens. 3. I am not able to go back to the main menu. Is there any command that I overlook? Currently I have to quit by terminating DCS from the windows task manager. Info: I am using an HP Notebook, Intel Core i& 8th gen. I have about 100 GB unused memory. I hope someone can help me out, so I can use this brilliant software.
