Lieber Krűger,
Please be specific
- what was the specific rename of the MissionEditor (Mission Editor was changed to ?)
- how did you change one random thing in the pilot logbook?
Vielen Dank im Voraus
I feel like I'm getting close.... What else do I need to do?
I have:
- closed DCS
- deleted folder DCS in "C:\Users\Peter\AppData\Local\Temp\"
- changed "logbook.lua" to "logbook.lua.bak" in "C:\Users\Peter\Saved Games\DCS\MissionEditor"
I have not:
- changed name of the MissionEditor folder in "C:\Users\Peter\Saved Games\DCS"
- changed "one random thing in the pilot logbook" (mentioned in the Solution on 24 January
Please help

Thank you. I started DCS and the DCS folder was created in "C:\Users\Peter\AppData\Local\Temp\"
It still freezes at Sim PostStart. Perhaps I missed a step. Here's what I did:
Shut down DCS
Delete "DCS" folder in "C:\Users\Peter\AppData\Local\Temp\"
Rename "logbook.lua" to "logbook.lus.bak" in "C:\Users\Peter\Saved Games\DCS\MissionEditor
(I have not renamed the "MissionEditor folder.)
Thanks for your patience.
I'm in "C:\Users\your-login\AppData\Local\Temp\" but do not see a "DCS" or "DCS.openbata" folder.
I do see an empty "DCS" folder in "C:\Users\your-login\AppData\Local".
I'm running DCS on Steam and I have the same "Supercarrier" F/A-18 "Case I Recovery" mission with he freeze at PostStart.
I was not able to find "C:\Users\your-login\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS. Is this because I'm running on Steam?
I was able to find and rename "logbook.lua" to "logbook.lua.bak" but it didn't solve the problem.
Can you provide stepwise instructions to solve the problem for Steam users?
