Hmm, okay. I did some more research and it seems you are right on the performance gains. This (german) article suggests a performance agin around 4% with HAGS on. Source So I disabled it. DCS crashed again during cold start, without even giving me an option to gather diag logs this time.

I just read up on HAGS. I mean, I could try it, but that would not be a acceptable solution long term. The same goes for all undervolting/underclocking suggestions that I read on DCS crashes. Reducing my systems overall performance (that I spent my hard earned money on) is not a viable solution to a single game/software crashing. :<

Well, my own personal experience, but also directly from Nvidia's driver site. null Dont have any RGB software, using Windows Defender. Memory seems fine, I ran a Memtest for 3-4 hours, 0 errors.

That would be weird, since they are the less stable ones. And I did had them before, with the initial crashes.

Thanks for the suggestions. - Hot plug disabled. - Deleted the 2 folders - Removed the driver with DDU - Installed Studio Drivers again (after reboot of course) - I dont use overclocking and the GPU is not an OC version - Page file is 33000 MB 2 tries, 2 crashes during cold start :< dcs.log-20240518-172904.zip dcs.log-20240518-173924.zip

Have been playing DCS on and off for years. Worked fine, I had long sessions without any problems, even when recording. But in last 2 months it was unplayable. I can have it running for somewhere between a few minutes and maybe 15 minutes, but it will always crash. Sometimes I wont even finish the cold start until it crashes. I have read through forums and tried couple of things, including repairing the install. Full reinstall of the game, full reinstall of nvidia drivers, run memtest for couple of hourse (no errors). I don't get it. All other games run fine. It's only DCS and it's extremely frustrating, since its the game where I have sunk the most money into for modules (lets leave Star Citizen out of this ^^;;;;). This is really unacceptable.
