  1. Hello, I'm flying the F18 with Quest 3. If I move my head enough to the side, my head can exit the windshield canopy. Is there a setting to prevent that from happening? Thanks
  2. I'm unable to post to the 2.9 core wish list, probably because I'm new. My suggestion is simple. Being a real world pilot, I was very caught of guard that when I taxi in DCS, and the pavement has some patch work, that the plane doesn't feel the bump. It's a tiny little detail that I think will double immersive experience in ground operations. Right now, there is some patch repair work everywhere on taxiways "dark lines" of fresh asphalt to fill in the cracks. We should feel that as a bump in the cockpit. Just a small shake. Thanks for listening. Noam
  3. hey guys - I couldn't find a better category to post this - sorry if it's in the wrong section. I just bought a 55 inch monitor for DCS. It was over $2,000 and if it will work well - great. It's still in the box, and I was thinking... With trackIR, having a huge monitor like that can be a big problem. Because for example if I rotate my head to the left, now my eyeballs have to look ALOT to the right to actually see the center of the monitor. So essentially, the bigger the monitor, the more your eye balls have to move when applying any head rotation. Does what I'm saying make any sense? Is there some reasonable limit with screen sizes and trackIR? Maybe 55 inch is too big? Thank you!!!
  4. hello I'm new here. I haven't purchased any new terrains yet, but with the included ones, or for future purchased ones, where do I get the charts? VFR sectionals Instrument approach charts Departure procedures Airport diagrams with taxiways Thank you!
  5. Hey guys. Does anyone know of any mentor for hire for 1 on 1 training sessions? Preferably someone with real world F-18 experience. My hope is that this mentor would give me 1 hour training sessions about twice per week, with given homework in between to prepare for next lesson etc. I'm a real world Cessna Citation pilot and I just love studying systems of aircraft. For this DCS F-18, I'd just really want to learn it in the most realistic way possible, starting with systems, cold and dark starts, checklists, emergency procedures. I don't expect to even look at weapons systems for 6 months. First thing is to learn the aircraft as a flying machine rather than a weapon. It's not like I'm incapable of studying chuck's guides or the endless excellent video tutorials on youtube... It's just that almost with everything in life, it's nice to have a teacher, and keep you accountable... Appreciate any referrals. I understand it would be expensive, but hey - I don't work hard for nothing! Noam
  6. Thank you so much guys!
  7. Hello, new user here. I have windows 10 gaming PC. How do I get DCS to load on my 2nd monitor only? Right now it opens and goes to fullscreen on my primary monitor but I want it full screen on my 2nd monitor. I can't figure it out. Thanks
  8. Hello, first time posting. I'm planning for the 12 months to get moderately good at the F-18. Being a small business jet pilot, I'll enjoy learning the systems. So far I am studying tutorials about cold start from Matt Wagner. I'm trying to make the right decision for HOTAS. Searching the web is seems like Winwing is the ideal solution? https://winwingsim.com/view/goods-details.html?id=369 Sorry for the ignorant questions. The buttons and switches of the throttle quadrant base don't seem to match those on the simulator. Is there a better solution? OR is it best to buy a plane throttle base and use the switches via mouse? Also - does this flight stick have force feedback? Thank you!
