  1. Thank you, very interesting video
  2. Thank you for your detailed answer.
  3. No, I use the classic one with 3 sensors. Is there a major difference with TrackIrclippro?
  4. I believe I have found some keys to the solution. Unfortunately, there is no generic fix, and the settings depend on the space available, the lighting, and the range of movement of our head. I have identified at least three singularities that cause view jumps. When the lower-left or lower-right sensor hides the upper sensor, the three green indicators turn red and the signal is temporarily lost, which causes a major view jump. This happens when you try to look up-left or up-right with too much head movement. Proposed solution: On the pitch axis, after keeping a soft central zone to comfortably look at the cockpit, do not hesitate to increase the values so that you can look 90° upward before the three sensors align horizontally (see below). When you raise your head enough for the three sensors to align horizontally, the light reflection level may suddenly change. The three indicators turn red and the signal is lost. Proposed solution: Same as above. The documentation suggests increasing the Light Filter Threshold and IR Brightness values. I disagree. I solved this signal-loss issue by returning to reasonable values (200 and 13). But this depends on my office lighting. Better settings are probably possible. Wearing glasses creates strong reflection sources, which appear as red spots. When these cover the green indicators of any of the three sensors, all three indicators turn red and the signal is lost. Proposed solution: Nothing ideal, but I notice that increasing the distance between the TrackIR and the glasses significantly reduces interference. The documentation says to keep a distance between 60 cm and 90 cm, which matches my observations. You may need to move the screen or the TrackIR backward… That is the current state of my findings… In my opinion, the most difficult part remains adjusting the pitch.
  5. Clear, thanx. I’ll perform tests tomorrow evening.
  6. Thank you. I will try asap.
  7. Not sure to fully understand what you mean by « pull up the screen in TIR that shws you what it’s seeing ». Could you detail please?
  8. I’ve been using TrackIR for about a year now. While I’ve managed to create head-movement curves that suit me, I still face a recurring and annoying issue. For no apparent reason, the view orientation suddenly jumps. I can go from an HUD view to an extreme head-angle view in an instant. Sometimes the view returns to normal, sometimes it doesn’t. I thought it might be the room’s lighting, but apparently not. The TrackIR unit is properly positioned above the screen, and the three sensors on my head are correctly aligned. Can you help me? It really spoils the enjoyment of the game and makes air-to-air combat very difficult…
  9. Thank you. A last question : is there a specific section in the forum to address issues about TrackIR?
  10. Yes, I use the DLC. But it is not sufficient to counter the pitch. At which speed do you start the DLC?
  11. Question 1: Why is it necessary to begin the landing pattern entry with the wings set to 68°, when we switch back to auto mode right afterward? Question 2: I believe I’m following the instructions by reducing speed down to 250 to lower the landing gear, then to 225 to deploy the flaps, and then deploying the spoilers. From time to time, when setting the AoA to 15° with trim, the aircraft pitches up massively around 150 knots. I can barely recover an acceptable attitude with the spoilers… in any case, maintaining altitude at 600 ft becomes impossible. What should I do? The Chuck’s Guide says not to use the stick to control pitch… Thank you for your help
  12. Thank you for your answers . I attach here a short video in order to support the description of my problems. There are two parts : 1 - To mode : we can see the lag (no problem with the F-18) 2 - Cruise mode : everything is smooth Because your answers show a very good knowledge about this jet, I would like to add two questions : a - Is there a way to have a cockpit without scotch nor lock wires? b - If the HUD reticle is not the velocity vector, what is it? Again, thank for your help. Digital Combat Simulator Black Shark 2025.11.09 - 18.00.58.06.mp4
  13. After two years on the Hornet, I moved on to the Tomcat, which is much more complicated to get the hang of… Unless I’m mistaken, I don’t think I’ve found answers to the two questions I have at the moment: HUD animation In Takeoff mode, the vertical scrolling of the pitch lines is choppy, whereas everything is smooth in Cruise mode. Is that normal? Vmax I can barely get past Mach 1 even with afterburner… what could be the issue? Thanks for your help!
  14. Thank you very much for your reactivity. You are right. Problem solved! All that's left for me to do is learn how to handle this beast — which is much harder than the F-18!
