Hi Cyking,
As requested, hereby my feedback.
First of all: well done on your first campaign, I really enjoyed it!
Positives:
The Huey!
Very enjoyable campaign.
Nice intro and ending titles and music.
I liked the Syria map.
Lebanon radio was a nice touch.
The triggers were working fine (in a very few instances a bit too early, and see the feedback about the prelude mission below).
Nice that the present position was shown on the map.
Nice story line with various angles on what happened during that period of the conflict for each mission and some nice twists in some missions.
Nice variation in difficulty, both in terms of completing the mission and different aspects of flying the helicopter. I was new to flying the Huey and could use the campaign to learn how to fly and operate it.
I enjoyed the landings on the ships and the formation flying.
I liked the length of the missions (typically no longer than an hour), apart from mission 14 The Date which was very long (2 hours and 20 minutes).
Nice that background information about each mission was given, but it is hidden in PDF files that are not mentioned (I had to find out that they existed via the forum).
Not so good:
Mission 5 Refugees was still impossible for me to fly in terms of landing on the containers, even with the January 2025 update.
As is already known: the voice-overs are difficult to understand, something that you are now working on.
As mentioned above, mission 14 The Date was very long (2 hours and 20 minutes). Flying all the way to Baalbek and back took up a big part of the mission and felt too much just to enjoy some scenery and see a few ruins.
If I want to be picky:
The displayed voice-over text often did not exactly match what was spoken. Also, as a (technical) writer, I noticed quite a few grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors in the voice-over text.
With a bit of attention, this should be easy to fix and will increase the overall level of quality of the campaign. The text in the PDFs though was perfect.
Errors:
Mission 1:
In the menu to choose a mission, the 'h' in 'flight' is missing in the title of mission 1.
Mission 4 Feet Wet:
When landing on the Leeds Castle for the first time, the text 'debug: ship land 2' is shown when the doors are opened.
Mission 14 The Date:
There are 2 voice-overs missing: when Jo says to Nina that they need to help Agent Smitz, plus her reply.
It took a few minutes for Agent Smitz to arrive on the roof. It felt too long.
The frequency for the MV Tilde in the radio card (135.50) is different from what is given in the mission (125.70).
There are 2 planes parked on top of each other on the apron at Beirut airport.
Mission 16: Operation Redeemer:
Really nice scenario but flying it felt a bit strange.
The time to study the kneeboard information felt short.
There were no radio frequencies to set up and there was no radio card. This was fine, but different from all other missions.
Some triggers were not working properly:
The instruction to clear rooftops near the stadium was given when we were still over the water, well away from the city.
After we were instructed to hold position until the LZ in the stadium was clear, the lead Huey landed anyway and there was no trigger that the LZ was clear again.
After landing in the stadium and embarking the evacuees, the trigger with instructions to embark them got stuck and never disappeared.
I decided to fly back to the carrier to drop off the evacuees. This resulted in all triggers playing that I should have received during embarking and the mission end titles appearing, so I was able to complete the mission and the campaign.
See this playlist for all my missions (I still have the last 2 to upload):
But again: I really enjoyed flying this mission! Thanks for creating it!
