  1. Been there done that...the only way to get rid of shimmering on AMD GPUs is to use dlss swapper. https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/757
  2. When you report a bug but ED hits you with the Domain Expansion: Infinite Gaslight... To the devs: > - If this is a ‘feature,’ **document it**. Where is it listed in the patch notes? > - If this is a ‘work in progress,’ **share the design goals**. How does garbled audio enhance realism? > - If this is a bug you can’t fix, **just say so**. We’d respect honesty over corpo-speak.
  3. You can use fsr 2 and 3 using my method a few posts above you...image stability is fine if you ask me but try it out for yourself...for me fsr 2 worked better that 3
  4. @BIGNEWY @Flappie @NineLine Sorry for the tag but any news? I've just tested the 3.5mm audio jack from the motherboard and I'm still getting the same bug... Funny thing is the bug itself doesn't frustrate me as much as finding the root cause of the bug...I'm completely at a loss...
  5. I think you got it wrong...I've nuked my SSD before reinstalling windows...so ofc my saved game dcs folder was wiped out as well... Regardless, I've done what u said just in case and it didn't help... U guys should let me be one of beta testers since I attract so many weird bugs
  6. My format is the same as you
  7. Hey I have this audio bug on newest dcs version (it doesn't exist in 2.9.13.6818). Russian AWACS voiceovers sound weird like a robot and speed up...it's kinda hard to describe it... stayed up all night reinstalling windows, dcs, drivers with no effect Specs: Ryzen 5 7600x rx6900xt 32gb 5200mt/s ram 03-29-2025 12.07 PM.m4a 03-29-2025 01.28 PM.m4a dcs.log
  8. TAA fucking sucks in this game...I used TAA at 4k resolution and smearing and ghosting was killing me... In my case I tested TAA at 4k 120fps and it was no different than 4k 30fps. Then I used that mod I mentioned a while ago.now smearing is gone and ghosting is to a minimum...no need to mention that bandits don't disappear bcz it's not upscaling it's native to native(1440p upscaled to 1440p) I also tried reshade it wasn't to my liking
  9. What other options do we have? Fsr1?that doesn't even have anti aliasing! MSAA*4? It doesn't work all that well on AMD GPU.if you have alternative other than buying a new Nvidia GPU I'm all ears
  10. guys, ive brought back good, nay EXCELLENT news! ive found a solution that not only fixed the hideous anti aliasing and shimmering, it also fixed my black smudge problem! this whole thing been bugging me for 2 month and now that i finally found a solution to end it all, man it feels awesome to once again enjoy the only game that i play! https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/757?tab=description install this mod. it enables dlss for amd gpus(its fsr in disguise but it uses dlss inputs for fsr) then use anti aliasing dlaa and bam! if you want to customize the mod to your liking, after installation when you run the game, simply press "insert" button on the keyboard. the mod interface should show up when you do confirming successful installation before running the game, run "DisableNvidiaSignatureChecks.reg" file. also install it in bin or bin-mt folder my happiness is immeasurable right now
  11. this is what im scared of...imagine going through hell to buy an rtx 5070ti and i still wouldnt be satisfied with the anti aliasing
  12. is the log from a user with nvidia gpu? if so does that black smudge happen to nvidia users with msaa*4 as well? without going into unnecessary lore dump, my gpu is just a placeholder. soon i need to choose between an rx 9070xt or 5070ti and im worried that i would get the same problem with an nvidia gpu as well considering the lack of my luck
  13. No I'm running on windows 11 I just downloaded the file from that repository and copy all the files from x64 folder to the bin or bin-mt folder in dcs and it works...but it also destroies any fog and cloud... especially contrails of aircrafts and missile smoke On a whole different note when I open my dcs logs regardless of the settings, in line 193 it tries to initiate dx11renderer but there's always 1 error with shaders I'll copy the line here: "DX11Renderer initialization (w:2560 h:1440 fullscrn:1 vsync:0 adapter:0 monitor:0 shaderErrors:1)" And then a few line after that I get mainDepthBuffer, uiTargetColor and uiTargetDepth errors. I thought well maybe the file "dx11backend" in bin or bin-mt folder was corrupted so I deleted it and did a repair which downloaded it again but it didn't fix it
