PSVR2 - now works with Eye Tracking and Quad Views!
Zligor replied to proxlamus's topic in Virtual Reality
I added dcs to steam library (add non steam game) and set dcs.exe from bin folder to start it. Turn on pc, start steam, turn on psvr2, start steam vr, start dcs from inside steam enviroment. -
To start the game. Then you turn them off to save battery and prolong lifespan.

PSVR2 - now works with Eye Tracking and Quad Views!

Nice to see that it works now I still think that much more fps we can get by cropping image like it is done with oculus tray tool on quest. In VR we don't see entire picture, more like some 90ish% even when eye leaches tuching the lenses. For people that use glasses crop could go easily to 80% or more. Why to waiste resources on FOV that we don't see? -

I had installed quad views foveated tools and quad view companion and was using it for fixed foveated rendering on quest2 for a year or so. Then i bought PSVR2 and installed PSVR2 app and PSVR2 toolkit. It works allways,no errors. Could be wrong steps for you,idk -
I allready use quad view companion (foveated area 130%, ouside area 10%). QVF and eye tracking is reason why i bought PSVR2. I lowered shadows to flat, was on high. Turned off SSAO, was on...and lot more. And it stutter. Only solution is PD to 0.8, but it's terrible. Steam VR render is on 100%. Could be that 4070ti super is just not enough. Or 5800x3d not enough for 90fps. Or i am missing something big. I need that fov reduction/crop.

Hello pilots, I am starting this topic because i recently changed my vr headset to psvr2, and now having performance issues. Before i was using quest2 on link cable but with magicall tool called OTT(Oculus Tray Tool). In OTT i was using option called fov reduction, set to 0.8. It actually crop the image so performance gain is huge. Our eyes anyway don't see that outside region of 20% (differ from person to person 10-20%, someone is ok with 0.9, someone with 0.78...,ipd and head shape are reason). Question no 1: Is there a way to make and implement such tool for psvr2 and other steam displayport headsets? Question no 2: Am i wrong or ott was directly forcing dcs world to crop image before rendering? If yes than it means that ED left opened that option so it is easy for developers to help us here

PSVR2 - now works with Eye Tracking and Quad Views!

You know what is strange about that smearing. When i look at some object and fast rotate my head right, i see smearing not just left of the object, but even little bit to the right. How thats possible? Like software predicts something about movement. An no smearing while moving head left an right, only when rotating -

Thanks for the reply. Probably i will reinstall windows and start from beginning. Even after uninstalling all meta software there could be something left in registry. What is troubling me now is smearing of the image when i move my head. It looks terrible. Motion reprojection is off and pc i strong enough. It smears in every game, even hl alyx on low settings. Some people on internet says that it's normal for oled to smear on motion. I don't believe this much is normal. If anyone knows, help. And is it normal to see squares of eye tracking that follows eyes when adjusting play area? Yesterday i installed psvr2 toolkit and eye tracking works in dcs, played it. -

Yesterday i bought psvr2 and adapter. TBH i am not sure what to say. FOV is bigger but sweet spot is smaller and quest2 was not so blurry. I am not sure do i need to put render res in steam vr to 68% or more. I use quad views companion with focus size 10%, foveate res 130% and peripheral 8%. And have stutters over citys even with flat shadows. On quest2 was on high shadows. I tryed steam vr res to 120%, 100%, and 68% and it all looks same blurry. I center headset correctly, that's not issue. -

...and what means that eye tracking runs faster on quest pro when conected to routher via ethernet cable(VD) , then on quest link connection. -

Could it be a better headset than quest pro now? Sorry for offtopic I am planning upgrade from quest2. Only minimum of 90Hz troubles me. For my configuration it's now fine and stable on 72Hz. -
Installed new nvidia drivers, changed in nvidia profile inspector to preset K, turned on resizable bar, downloaded dll 310.3 file from techpower site. Less ghosting than before, allmost not at all.
-
Is dlss 310.3 included in the new nvidia drivers or i need to download dll file from techpowerup? I dont have latest drivers. Mine is some older version, i think from may.

I updated today link app and headset to a new version. Now it works but before lunching link app i still need to once kill all meta processes from taskbar. I endtask: Meta quest remote desktop.exe OVR Redir OVR Service Launcher OVR Server_x64.exe..
