  1. Am i gonna loose cpu resources if i buy quest pro with dfr. Now i have 72fps on quest 2 with ffr and asw only low over large cityes. How much cost to cpu make that dfr? Sorry for off topic
  2. I have a quest 2 on link cable and i make it run by "end tasking" all related to meta in task manager (win10), then starting the link app, exiting it, and again do end tasking all and starting link app for a secound time. Next, start the hedseat, connect link cable, activate link. And in 50% cases i need to do a even third end tasking-restarting process because link exits on it's own after a few secounds. Turn off headset, diconnect cable, do end tasking, start app, start headset, connect cable, activate link from headset Then it runs normally for hours.
  3. In task manager (win10) i kill all processes related to meta/oculus, then i insert link cable and put headset on, turn it on, start link from headset and it works. I did not have time to try turning of human interface devices...in device manager.
  4. I thought that downsampling that new hi res headsets while not lowering ultra/high settings suppose to still bring fps above 72, and clarity should be like on low res headsets on native resolution, or even greater because of beatter displays. Please someone tell me it's true. If it's not true, then i can stop waiting for some new generation of headsets and must buy quest pro. I was hoping for oled display and eye tracking. Something like bsb2, to just downsample it on my 4070ti super
  5. I use masking tape over proximity sensor so it's allways turned on, but it will go in sleep mode after 1 minut if there is no movement of headseat. Under 1 minute i change my joystick or look at the phone. Toilet problem could be solved by hanging a hedseat (with masking tape on it) to something that will swing it or rotate it by a milimetre or two for a long time. Child on a swing, rope twisted... Even a slight movement will make it staying alive.
  6. Thank you for this I just tried DLSS quality with 0.8 scaling and can confirm it looks allmost like DLAA alone but with more fps
  7. And stereo overlap. High fov usually sacrefise stereo overlap. Something in between could be the solution.
  8. Max performance gain i achived with two things: QVFR and reducing FOV to 0,8 in Oculus Tray Tool (OTT) profile. Plus DLSS quality of course. The most important thing about secound one is your personal IPD(interpupilary distance). Mine is 70mm so when using quest2 on 68mm(max for q2) i can not see that FOV reduction at all and i play at 72fps with max settings all time. For you it can be different, just try it. Next important thing, i was thinking about quest3 too, but i found it have a very poor stereo overlap and it's a no go for a people with high IPD. I would love to try one to see for myself. Lot of posts on internet says that people with low IPD will be ok. Be aware of that please.
  9. Yes it work. I put everyting in dcs on ultra/high, quest2 max resolution 72Hz and PD in dcs to 1,2, QVFR turn on, and i use Oculus Tray Tool to shrink fov to 80 horizontal and 80 vertical. I do not see fov reduction at all. My personal ipd is 70. But with that setup i maintain 72fps unless flying low over dense city. Then ASW kicks in. Important is to setup ASW to adaptive mode just in oculus tray tool. Then it run smoothly. Do not use oculus debug tool for asw and that ctrl+num1, 2, 3. Even with 4070ti when i press ctrl+num1, 2... it become like you sad, not smooth, stuttering, like thad bad drivers from 2024 i was struggling. I hope i helped
  10. I had the same isue on my old rx5700xt last year. It came in with amd drivers. I solved it by reinstaling amd drivers to older version, i think 23.5.1 if i remember correctly. Then i had troubles every few days when win10 updated drivers on it's own. I forgot solution for this, but succeeded in this too. In january 2025 i finaly bought 4070ti super 'couse 5700xt was too slow for quest2 even with fov 75 degree reduction.
