Gents,
I appreciate the first steps here. I had a brief period of time to work on the issue, but overall still having windows driven crashes back to the desktop. I ran DxDiag and saw no errors in -- I'm on the road again, and forgot to save that report, so I'll have to run it again when I get home. Additionally, I've cleaned up the modules and run the full repair a few times in my troubleshooting (and again the other day for good measure). I also disabled TacView (had another "crash" while it was disabled, so that doesn't seem to be the issue). I checked to make sure the .exe is not being run as administrator (neither the file itself, nor shortcut have that selected). I also checked windows memory (I've used memtest86 before in another troubleshooting issue), but nothing showed there and the symptoms don't seem to point to a memory issue. I'm not having system wide issues, just windows killing DCS in mission.
I did have a series of hard crashes from DCS -- never made it to the main menu -- after the most recent update, but it seems to have resolved itself, and I think is unrelated.
Aside from that, I did stumble on something about windows reliability monitor and discovered a series of windows record DCS crashes. I've copied the logs of the most recent ones -- any chance ya'll have the secret decoder ring for these reports? I think there'd have to be something in there that may point to a smoking gun, or at least another clue. I see a lot revolving around D3DCOMPILER_47.dll and edCore.dll. Logs attached, in case anyone has some insights, while I try to find the right google fu for some help interpreting these myself. Thank you!
