Thank you for your reply and taking a look! This is actually shows my massive lack of experience/knowledge. It does work. What happened when the engagement starts the it's AWACS that spawns west of India and shows up on my RWR. So thinking that was the bandit I was unwittingly running from the fight before the F4 could lock me and I never saw it on the RWR . So sorry, my mistake.

Hello, I am really enjoying this campaign for learning. I picked up a lot about navigating with the TACAN and managing fuel. Unfortunately when I got to the first BFM section when the bandit spawns, I don't think its the correct location. They spawn west of India as I am orbiting the waypoint and they are then burning into the west direction away from me and I cant catch them. Comparing it to videos online I can tell this is not the intended behavior. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong to cause a bad spawn or if there is currently an issue in the campaign. This happens with the F-5E in the novice campaign and also the F-5E and F-4E aces in the practice missions. I was on a previous version but retested on the just released 2.9.16.10973 version and the issue is still there.
