Welcome to the DCS LUA fun!
Lua itself if fairly easy to pickup and you will get that in no time (especially with your experience)
the other hand learning the limits, functions and possibilities in the DCS Scripting engine is HARD

Also heard something about a "TGFB" that they did something cant remember what 😛

also 'hoggitworld' is a ~good source
