I can finally add to this topic after a week! Alright, so I was playing through Mission 2 and I started to get a message that the Zeus landing party were taking fire but there was no one there when I did a flyover of the LZ while the choppers were inbound. I circled around and suddenly hostiles spawned in and it was an instant mission failure.

I want to get back to this as I have been slowly getting better at learning the F/A-18C but this was demoralizing.
