It seems my problems have worked themselves out. Perhaps this newest update fixed the problem - I hope so. I have my fingers crossed. PS This auto-update process is very bad. While it is nice to have the feature, it is not nice that it takes all day to download and update - and I have a VERY fast pipe. The download speed was in the neighborhood of 20kb/sec - in other words - a fast turtle.

Is Someone out there? I'm not sure I executed this event log properly but here are two files associated with the times this evening that I attempted to access DCS World aircraft - all three that I have - and the events taking place afterwords. Event Monitor Log - DCS World Access.zip

Is someone out there This is not an activation issue. All of these issues occur after activation. DxDiag.txt

I completely deleted all of my software. I searched the Windows registry and deleted every reference to "DCS." I downloaded all the current DCS World and aircraft packages. I reinstalled all my World and aircraft using the keys I was given. DCS World still crashes. The program loads, the aircraft selection menu displays, a menu set for whatever aircraft you selected displays, and then if you select any entry - such as "Training," DCS World crashes.

Is there some kind of problem with DCS World tech support. I posted a support ticket back on 29 March and have had no replies. Just wondering if there is a backlog of responses from DCS. Thanks Note: After installing the newest update of DCS World, I now cannot access any of my aircraft (A-10, P-51, KA-50). The system crashes every time I try to fly an aircraft and then restarts again. Thanks Frank

cults, This is exactly what I did. When the new DCS World module came out, I installed all my aircraft and re-installed everything from scratch using the new (and smaller) individual aircraft modules. I managed to get my P-51 and A-10 back up and running by deleting the associated keys in the registry and re-activating those aircraft. But, the Black Shark 2 serial number will not take even though I deleted its key before trying.

EtherealIN, That may have been true before the new version of DCS World. However, the only download I have is the full installer. The various upgrades would not work with the new DCS World so I had to start over with installs for DCS World, P-51, Black Shark 2, and the A-10. So, I don't know which serial number I have (full or upgrade). Note: At one time I did upgrade to Black Shark 2 (from 1) but that was before the new DCS World module program.

Product Activation Update: I managed to get my P-51 and A-10 registered with the system. I followed some instructions in a post on the site which described steps involved with deleting keys in the Windows registry. Now when I access both of these aircraft DCS World performs properly. However, I'm still stuck with non-acceptance of the serial number on the Black Shark 2. I deleted the key associated with this aircraft but it made no difference. There appears to be a mismatch of some sort between the stored serial number and the one I have.

I have multiple issues with serial numbers and product activations. I posted a trouble ticket and a post in the general forums. Thus far, no answers. What is the point of asking for help (developers or users) if no one even bothers to answer. I can understand users not responding. I have a feeling a lot of you are having problems. What I don't understand is why no answers from the developer. None of these issues were present until DCS World was updated. Now, nothing I have (all aircraft) works - at least from an access point of view. Suggestion - maintain a database where you collect every user, every serial number, every activation code, and associate all of that to each of your products. In that fashion, a user can look up what the correct codes are and apply them to specific products the user has purchased. Surely that can't be too difficult. Frank

YIKES - Nothing works I uninstalled all of my DCS aircraft (A-10, KA-50, and P-51). I installed DCS World and then re-installed each aircraft using the proper (I think) download files. A-10C_1.2.0.63205 KA-50_1.2.0.63205 P-51D_1.2.0.63205 DCS_World_en_1.2.0.63205 DCS_World_en_1.2.0.63205-1 DCS_World_en_1.2.0.63205-2 DCS_World_en_1.2.0.63205-3 Now none of the serial numbers I have will allow access to the individual aircraft. I get this same error - Invalid Hardware Code. Also, when I try to fly one aircraft the window banner title for the error says that "this aircraft must be activate." Only it says "Black Shark 2" even though I didn't select that aircraft. Can someone help? Frank

OK, OK, OK - No more "hate mail." :-) I uninstalled everything, re-downloaded the new DCS World modules (aircraft), and installed everything. The new DCS World main screen showed all my aircraft including the P-51. I didn't have to repurchase anything. So, it wasn't as bad as I thought. I want to apologize to everyone at Eagle Dynamics. I'm very sorry. I completely misunderstood the whole purpose of the "World" module and the individual parts (aircraft). Perhaps there was some explanation about the new design but I did not see it. Thanks to everyone who tried to help. Frank

Seriously, I have download and re-install every aircraft I own. Does that also mean I have uninstall everything, including DCS World, in order to get my aircraft back. Wow, I would not call that progress. The total amount of download time for all of that is ridiculous. Except for the fact that I can no longer access my P-51 (that I paid for) I'm thinking that I don't need DCS World if I have to go through all of that. This is starting to look like the developer had little planning involved with this update of DCS World plus P-51. There doesn't appear to be any regard for all the customers who previously purchased and installed DCS products. Not very impressive guys.

I downloaded the new DCS World update. The install went as advertised. I executed DCS World which previously provided access to the P-51. Now, however, I get the following: On the left side of the main screen there is a small scrollable window containing text info. At the bottom of this screen there are icons for the P-51, A-10C, Black Shark, Small Arms, and the Flanker. Except for the Flanker, all the icons have a "purchase" button - including the P-51. Now, I have already purchased the P-51 (beta), the A-10, and the Shark (both versions). The Flanker icon does not have a purchase button since I believe it is free with this new update. First, how do I eliminate the "purchase" requirement for all these aircraft. I've already purchased these and have keys. Second, how do I get to the P-51. The only aircraft I can access within DCS World is the Flanker. All my other aircraft are accessed via the previous installations via shortcuts on my desktop. I don't go through DCS World. Thanks.
