well, maybe fixed...all I did this time is install Lock On Platinum (LOMAC and FC2). Was going to uninstall Black Shark but thought I would try it one more time, and it worked!

sorry to steal the thread but I am having same problem. I found the wiki, and neither suggestion helped. I uninstall and reinstalled the latest nVidia driver, and have a recent clean install of Windows 7, so I should have latest directx driver. I also d/l from steam, uninstalled and redownloaded three times now, no luck. Installed steam in is own folder, have avg but have turned off resident shield, no other firewall. I am including the dxdiag file. Any suggestions?
