Exported .dtc takes way too much space on disk than needed
Anubis_94 posted a topic in DTC Wish List
Hello, I know that disk space isn't a great concern, but the .dtc is taking a lot more space than what it should. The exported json use way more space than needed, and take up to 270KB. It can be indented with a 2 or 4 space tabulation to easily use half the current space, 146KB. It can also be stripped from all these space and CRLF to take a minimal 32KB. Files attached, tested OK in game. JSON_Default.dtc JSON_Indented.dtc JSON_Stripped.dtc -
Hello, F-18 manual, page 154 : The DTC manager input is a frequence, also seen in the json export : Understanding, there is nothing to pre-configure in the DTC for this radio mode.

I have indeed some mod, but they are mainly cosmetics (skins), I have no return of any issue regarding other tracks I already posted here. (previous track was on an older version, maybe this is the issue, or maybe one of the other track reading problem we can see on the forum) I redid another track with a clean saved game (minus the control&graphic config). Here is the track and the video associated. Please note that, starting from max range (TMR elapsed, IN ZONE displayed, AMPCD witnessing, 1.15 in the video), I press the release button every second. I am able to release only a couple of seconds before the release cue cross the VV, as already said in my previous post. To me, I am already "well within the weapon range", and for the avionic too. Something is off, that being the manual (saying "Normally, the bomb can only be released when the aircraft is inside the LAR."), the avionic display (saying "IN ZONE"), or the weapon behavior (not allowing the release IN ZONE). I think the latter look like the most plausible, that the 24 could strike farther (as the 24 isn't a bangbang), with less energy, but that it still can go that far. Speculating that we have here a gbu12 style release but with an avionic doing a correct prediction ? G24CLARTest2.trk

AGM-65F Maverick missiles not working in multiplayer
Anubis_94 replied to Ladan's topic in Bugs and Problems
If you say sometimes it fires, sometimes not, it isn't the same issue as in the linked topic as we were able to always fire the SLAMER. Also, SLAMER issue is related to a desync flight trajectory from host/client. Not the ability to fire the weapon. -
As requested: tracks and ACMIs from host and client pov. Also a video from host pov (weapon release at ~2.40): Two F18, one SLAMER each, release at the same time. Each player see its own SLAMER hit the ground, and the SLAMER of the other player fly straight ahead. testSLAMERDesync_CLIENT.acmi testSLAMERDesync_CLIENT.trk testSLAMERDesync_HOST.acmi testSLAMERDesync_HOST.trk

Hello, I am still seeing the "missing track" flag but the track is provided in the message above. So, bumping the topic to ensure the track is seen.

Code need to be changed in the rearm panel now, by clicking on the little orange corner top/left of the pylon. Not via the MFD. This is only an indication for the plane, but not the bomb configuration.

reported Bug report: Catapult issue in multiplayer
Anubis_94 replied to Spectre561st's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hello, After encountering the issue again, here is a reproduction track with only a Roosevelt and 2 F18, ~3min Me, host, taking CATA2. Then, mate, client, taking CATA1, lag when holdback bar is set up. Wheeling. As if he wasn't allowed to move forward to catch the charriot and he was instead teleported to the chariot (?) (Bonus, he then re-extend launch bar and is sent backward) A video of the issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pwx8a9py2m8 Please note that is for previous version 2.9.15.9599 CATA_Lag.trk -
Hello, Seen the mising trackfile tag, so here is the reproduction track. Precisely, the bomb is allowed to drop sligthly before the crossing of the VV by the release cue. Some weapon release in the red zone didn't drop the bomb, then one drop at the start of the green one. I also dropped one at the end of the green zone to confirm that the 24 was able to come back on the TGT from the min range. G24_CLAR_test.trk

Hello, When using the GBU-24, in SL or PP, we have a min&max range. But, while the manual say : "Normally, the bomb can only be released when the aircraft is inside the LAR." (page 324) We cannot release the bomb before the release cue crosses the velocity vector. In image, that means that while we might think we could release the bomb any time in the red part, we can only release it in the yellow. Weapon release doesn't do anything in the blue part. We also tried a forced laze, and a loft. CLAR ORV ignored because, the manual doesn't say we need to use it to drop while in the CLAR. No track right now. Can do one if necessary.

Hello, Currently, the cat that we will use is determined by the parking where we spawn. Ok with that. But on in a mission with multiple flights, it may be tricky. We can sort the taxi order by doing, or not, the salute, but we may find some plane of the same flight to taxi to the same catapult, in situation where 4 planes -> 4 catapults are totally possible. More impacting: we may also found a member from flightA stuck behind members of flightB (ex: elevator 2 behind a plane on the 6pack.) And if that flightA must takeoff first before the flightB (say, a SWEEP mission before a STRIKE one), this is not great. Being able to select the parking slot to predict who will taxi to which catapult, and takeoff first would be great. PS: We tried the teleport, but results vary from no teleport ("Teleport allowed only one time" but we just spawned ?!) to a teleport on the same place

Hello, I managed to get a ship in a group to go backward while making this group to attack another one. The wake doesn't seem to be able to go in front of the ship ship.mp4 No track, didn't save it at the time, so, just for info.

Hello, As we are able to get into airboss room at the end of a mission with altGr+F9, and select maneuver manually the carrier (only on flatscreen currently). Can we get a button to put the carrier directly into the wind? (proposal: near the "Automatic" button that make the cvn resume the default course) It will avoid to the pilot that will go into airboss to spend 5min to adjust the course of the carrier. Also, what cross winds indicate these informations ? "Along Wind Speed" is from the BRC? And "Cross Wind Speed" from the FB ?

Bug report: Catapult issue in multiplayer
Anubis_94 replied to Spectre561st's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hello, Here is a track from our evening mission. It is big, so hosted on ftp. But the issue happens at start, around 0540 (mission start at 0525). CAT1 lag after trying to hook when I, host, am already hooked on CAT2. http://server.3rd-wing.net/public/Anubis/server-20240918-211256.trk -
investigating TGP loses track when radar drops track.
Anubis_94 replied to Beamscanner's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hello, Updating this 2 year thread that is still marked as "investigating" The ATFLIR is able to keep tracking the aircraft if "SLAVE-L&S" is unboxed after making it tracking the target. As in, stop being slaved to the L&S and it will not reset when the system drop the L&S. -
wait for update Defaults fuzes require action in cockpit to work ?
Anubis_94 replied to Anubis_94's topic in Bugs and Problems
This is interesting. For the GBU12 and FMU139/152, if I understood it correctly, it doesn't change that setting in STORE still drive the arming state in all cases: M904/905 with the said wire, and FMU139/152 without it (even if I would say that the capacitor, once charged, would remain charged event if I unbox the fuze in STORE ). So if I put it together, for mk82 and GBU12 at least, setting a MFUZE (or EFUZE? Whatever?) still drive the arming state of the bomb ? If yes, this is a work as intended behavior. -
Hello, According to Wags's video (2.50 mark below), I understood that only one, (FMU-152) is plugged to the avionic https://youtu.be/b8TUYyFeBOg?t=171 But we spot that in cockpit input with default fuzes (nose: M904E, tail: M905) change if the bomb is DUD or not, at least for the mk82 and GBU12: mk82: if we let the MFUZE and EFUZE to OFF, the bomb is DUD. gbu-12: if we let the EFUZE to OFF or DLY1, the bomb is DUD Of course, the avionic yell DUD as expected (at least for the 82, not the 12) because we didn't set bomb parameters in cockpit, but the bomb is setup on the ground, so it should explode, no matter what the plane thinks of it. Tracks attached below. Also, I would highlight that during the gbu12 test, vehicles eat 500lb inert bomb without apparent damage. I doubt that it should be like that, this exists : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concrete_bomb (BDU-50 is a 500lb inert bombe) Maybe another topic ? Fuze12.trk Fuze82.trk

Missiles improper pull up behavior when lost guidance

Hello, Backuping this topic, our squad encountered the issue on multiple R27ER from Mig29 when AI broke lock while defending. (Track too huge to be shared) -
Hello, Adding a question to this thread : 5. If the real AC allow it, will we be able to modify STNs via UFC (like the f16)? More pratical when SA is clutered than trying to get the correct TUC

I just want to back this up in the wishlist. Even without the dangerousity of such clouds at beginning, for scenery ...

I really like your feedbacks . Is it possible to complete these two benchmarks with a run on the CCD1 only (CCD0 disabled) ? In order to have the perf on natural 7950, "vcache" 7950 and "freq" 7950. -

Nice, thanks for your feedback. Do you have any hint on what ccd was used ? vcache or regular one ?
