Pardon my density but where can this patch be found?
-
Well sure enough I wasn't waiting for the CDU to display T:4.0 0.8 then flash INS Nav Ready prior to engaging the EAC. My only defense is I don't recall seeing that in the startup training but I may have just overlooked it. This sim is sure good at making me feel dumb.. Cheers for the help...much appreciated.

After reading through the five pages of posts in the tech section regarding this SAI issue the following seems most germane: "It is a known issue that has been reported to the Internal Bug Tracker and is currently being dealt with by the relevant developer. Once rectified, it then is incorporated into current testers' builds for testing and verification of said fix. One verified fixed and closed, it is then incorporated into subsequent Open-Beta/Release builds for public consumption. Appreciate that such matters take time and are being dealt with, albeit at a pace that is not satisfactory to all. " I think mine will stay caged until this is sorted. Thanks again SH for putting me onto the proper thread for this situation.

Thank you for the link StrongHarm! Sorry I missed that prior to posting. I'll give that a solid read thru. Cheers,

This came up a few days ago and I'm just now getting some air time so I wanted to post a screenie showing the SAI issue that was mentioned. Notice the HUD ladder and Primary AI are in agreement reflecting the actual attitude of the aircraft. Not sure what the SAI is thinkin'

Oh no mate that will never do. Just doesn't seem proper unless the bird is cold to jump things off.
-
I was almost certain it had to be a sequencing issue....many thanks for info. Does seem a touch odd that it takes that long for a modern aircraft to initialize but what do I know. And just so y'all know I did search for this info before posting and didn't see anything related......my bad. Cheers, Edit: Just read the FAQ sticky and still don't see it......hmmm.

When I go thru a startup procedure I can never get the EAC to set (switch bounces up then reverts to off). It will always be the only thing in alarm on the panel prior to takeoff and I've just become accustomed to it. The only way I can eventually get it to take is to keep trying it after several minutes of flight and at some point it will stay engaged. Anyone else experience this or have any ideas what may be causing it? Cheers,

I see both the 'note' indicator and the missing heading scale on the HUD on nearly every mission. I've lost track of the times I've had to navigate with the mechanical compass (which leaves a bit to be desired). Didn't know about the Maverick cooling issue so thanks for that. I do use TrackIR and re-centering it is always the first thing I do and it never sorts things out. If the OP doesn't post a screeny I'll see what I can do to get one posted.

Thanks Zenra.. I'm not clear on what's happening here but I'm so new to this particular sim I have to assume it's my error somewhere. Also I have a D2D version so my flight manual is a soft copy and not conducive to reading or flipping pages while away from the computer where I prefer to do my heavy reading ;-) When I re-start after RTB I perform the exact same procedure I use during an initial cold start to begin a mission...hence my confusion. Also notice the Primary and Secondary Attitude Indicators are far from indicating the same thing. As mentioned earlier my SAI almost never properly reflects the current situation so that may be why they are so different in the OP screeny. That is there's actually two different things going on...1) A historically squirreled SAI and 2) a recently (post RTB) really squirreled EGI. Confusion reigns but I'm going to get some wing time tomorrow so I'll see what I can learn from the excellent (and highly appreciated) feedback from this forum. Cheers,
-
It was my understanding that the EGI would align itself after it powers up....like it does after an initial cold start at base. Is there something I'm missing? Many thanks for the feedback.

lmao Konkussion... I could tell you about that secret weapon but then I'd have to......

Hi Scratchy.. Yes I did a complete shut down including all lights, avionics, engines etc. After the shutdown I requested refuel at 100%, re-arm and ground power for repairs. Not sure what's happenin' ps. I should also mention that my SAI never works properly. It almost always shows me in a sharp left turn so I've just learned to ignore it. This is unrelated to the OP incident and just more fyi.

Ooops.....Sorry about the double wide shot. In my haste I failed to edit out the other monitor's image. Sorry about that. The question remains though. Thx

Hi All, I seem to be seeing some peculiar behavior after RTB for re-arm, re-fuel and/or repair. The symptoms vary but I've attached a screen grab from the most recent event. This was during the SP 'Hide Out' mission. I had a malfunction while engaging targets (right engine flame out) so I limped back to base for corrective action, fuel and ordnance. Note the HUD ladder is completely skewed as are the Primary and Secondary Attitude Indicators. The aircraft is wings level, full throttle and climbing very gently at ~2-4 degrees. While you can't see it in this shot there are no alarms on the panel and everything 'seems' to be operating normally in terms of basic flight control. More FYI than an actual question but wanted to post this while I was thinking about it. Your comments and feedback are both encouraged and welcomed. What is going on here? Cheers,

Hello... Thank you for the replies and I must apologize for not having the foresight to save a track after experiencing this phenomena. I've been out since my original post so I have yet to fly the A-10C again but hope to get some air time NLT tomorrow. I will of course make sure my pitot heat is active and if I see this 'reversal' of indicators (and a stuck at zero VSI) I'll be sure to save a track and post it in this thread. Thanks again for the detailed responses.....great community. Cheers,

Hey All, Just recently picked up the DCS A-10C retail package and am working on weapons delivery. During two different runs through the 'Defend Camp' SP mission I ran low on fuel so RTB for supplies. After returning to the AO I noticed a very odd change to the aircraft. When diving onto a target my airspeed actually decreased until it reached 50 KIAS where it stopped. Conversely during an escape maneuver incorporating a climb of no less than 10 degrees the airspeed continued to climb reaching speeds I've never seen in this aircraft. Both the HUD and mechanical air speed indications showed the same results. Also the VSI stayed pegged at Zero regardless of whether I was climbing or diving. I wouldn't have thought much of it but it happened twice with the exact same indications. Again this only occurred the two times I needed to RTB for fuel. Anyone else notice this or do I just have gremlins running amok? Cheers,
