  2. rob10's post in F4U Corsair no control was marked as the answer
Assuming you've probably already solved this one way or other, but if you RIGHT CLICK in the appropriate cell you can manually assign buttons/axis (rather than having to get it to recognize input from the button/axis).
  3. rob10's post in Are the delay fuses broken for laser-guided bombs right now? was marked as the answer
You (mostly, there are a couple of exceptions) need to set up your fuze timings on the ground in the rearm/refuel menu (not any of the in-cockpit displays -- they're strictly for pilot reference/bomb computer use) because IRL you would have to physically change a dial on the bomb itself.
  4. rob10's post in AAR switch was marked as the answer
You should be able to do a RIGHT click in binding for "close" and assign it to "off" to make it work (with "on" bound to "open").
  5. rob10's post in Visor Toggle Action was marked as the answer
And IIRC it's strictly an external visual effect (no change if you're in "pilot" view), so don't expect it to change anything if you're in the cockpit.
  6. rob10's post in Game Stuck on "15 YEARS OF DCS" was marked as the answer
When it stops working I would check that your anti-virus isn't quarantining a file to two.  It might get replaced by a repair and then get caught again after some time.
  7. rob10's post in "Available Mission File" is empty when trying to load DTC on F/A18C on random servers. was marked as the answer
It isn't really obvious, but if you click on the FILE button in the top left it will allow you to IMPORT a DTC if you've made one and exported it already.
  8. rob10's post in GBU-31 V3/4 Penetrator different results from different Planes was marked as the answer
Well there's your problem: you used the AF variant and it didn't like being dropped off a Navy plane 🤣.  I did use the USN variant but they should in theory be identical.
Yes, that was the C+C bunker I dropped on (good to check).
So in quick testing it's related to the fact that you set the fusing in the stores page to DLY1.  If you set it as INST (with the 0.06 sec set in the re-arm menu or mission editor) it will take them down with a single GBU-31 (naval or AF).  I suspect this is it looking for something functionally when you have DLY1 set that doesn't work with that particular fuse (I assume you were using the default FMU-139?) when you have it to DLY1 and isn't triggering at the appropriate timing.  I don't have in depth enough knowledge to speak intelligently any deeper than that on it though.
  9. rob10's post in Problem with authorisation of modules at game start was marked as the answer
In this particular case it's probably not your antivirus.  You likely need to reauthorize your modules with Steam.  It seems to happen occasionally with people that have transferred from Steam to standalone.
  10. rob10's post in What are these icons called? was marked as the answer
They are telling you that the unit is beyond limits side to side (6 degrees rather than max 5 degrees) but within limits front to back (1 degree vs max 5 degrees).  So you need to place it on leveller ground for it to be able to be functional.
  11. rob10's post in GBU-12 does not track laser when its LST mode was marked as the answer
Did you set the laser code on the bomb in the REARM MENU on the ground before takeoff to whatever the JTAC is using?  You can't change the code on the bomb in the air (it's a mechanical settings on the bomb).  Changing it in the stores page is strictly for reference for guided bombs.  The MAV is different and you CAN change it in the air that's why it worked.
  12. rob10's post in Visible Before Activation for AI air units? was marked as the answer
UNCONTROLLED OPTION – using this the aircraft will be visible at mission start
    - it will not do anything (won’t start or move) until it is given a PUSH command with trigger
    - these aircraft can be destroyed on the ground at any time from mission start
    - in AIRCRAFT TRIGGERS (third tab), ADD – PERFORM COMMAND / START
    - in your triggers, set ACTION as AI TASK PUSH, in dropdown select desired UNIT NAME / 1.START
NOTE: UNCONTROLLED AIRCRAFT will NOT perform any Advanced Waypoint Actions until they become controlled (even if these are set on WP 0). For example, an uncontrolled aircraft with an Advanced Waypoint Action of “invisible” on WP 0 WILL NOT become invisible UNTIL they are controlled.
  13. rob10's post in Ground Veh Range Rings - Explanation Please? was marked as the answer
Yes.  Just realize the red circle is the theoretical max range and may be overly optimistic in some cases (i.e. just barely inside the red may not get hit)
  14. rob10's post in Mission Editor Meltdown When it Cannot Find a Resource was marked as the answer
Was going to suggest that would be the likely error.  If you use any of the lights in VPC it causes a crash in the background.  Fortunately the fix is very easy.  In that folder duplicate the fake_omni_lights2.fx and fake_spot_lights2.fx and rename the copy to take out the 2 and it will work fine.  I think something changed in base DCS over time and maybe the mod hasn't been updated.  Note that because that's in core files, the copied files will likely get deleted at some point (esp. if you do a repair).
  15. rob10's post in M01 Stuck progression issue? was marked as the answer
You need to turn the physical switches for the "tapes" ON in the cockpit.  It's easy to overlook, but it actually tells you to do this at fence-in in the briefing.  The switches are located below the FUEL INDICATIONS.  The comm's are a hint as to what you haven't done (turning on the tapes) rather than a command for something you should be doing.  I had read it in the briefing and completely forgot to do it until I hit that comm's, then I had to look up where the switches were.
  16. rob10's post in M03 MK20 help please! was marked as the answer
If you have a target designated it will always drop in AUTO.  You need to undesignate your target for CCIP release to be available.
  17. rob10's post in Mission 1 offset was marked as the answer
Bearing entry has changed recently and you now need to input DDD MM SS (so in this case 075 00 00) to get the bearing to take.  Elevation you can set as 0 feet and it will figure it out.
And yes, it's giving you Bearing and Range (in nm).
  18. rob10's post in Missing deck crew on Stennis was marked as the answer
They said when the new deck crew came out that ALL deck crew was being removed from the Stennis due to conflict with the new ones.  They were hoping to be able to put something back on the Stennis at a later date.
  19. rob10's post in Entering 8-digit grid coordinates was marked as the answer
Yes, trailing zeros.  Just remember that it's 2 x 5 digit sequences so when your lead calls 9282 2758 you need to input 92820 27580, not 9282275800.
Realistically you could enter 6 digit (928 275 (or 276 if you rounded up)) and probably be close enough to find a target visually.  And make sure you set ELEVATION as 0 feet to get it to ground level (if you enter 0 it will adjust it to the appropriate ground level) or you'll be looking at the lovely clouds in the sky 🙂
Also realize that in the very recent past the offset bearing entry has changed (won't be updated in the manual) and you now enter it as DDD MM SS.  to the 75 degrees offset bearing gets entered as 075 00 00.  You'll see the degree symbol on the UFC that will also help clue you on this.
  20. rob10's post in Hornet IFA fail was marked as the answer
Are you starting in a shelter?  If you don't have visibility to the sky for the GPS it will show IFA RDR until shortly after you leave shelter and it can get GPS signal.
  21. rob10's post in Supercarrier Airboss interaction with monitors??? was marked as the answer
1st off: you need to be in the "airboss" slot (don't remember exactly what it's called) to be able to interact.  Just changing the view to it won't let you change things.  Would be nice if you could change heading etc without having to exit your current plane slot, but that's not the way it works currently.
2nd: from what I've read (don't use VR so can't confirm) it has issues trying to use it in VR currently even if you're in the airboss slot.
  22. rob10's post in When I enter coordinates acquired from F10 map the resulting waypoint is inaccurate. was marked as the answer
Watched track and can confirm what Phantom711 said.  You need to enter the LL DECIMAL version (1 down from what you entered) or change the LL format in the F-18 settings.

  24. rob10's post in What to look for in crash files? was marked as the answer
Both those logs are still showing a bunch of mods in your saved games folder.  I'd start looking there.
  25. rob10's post in Azimuth Steering Line and Target Designator Not Aligning - After 1st MK20's Drop was marked as the answer
You've got a P/INS advisory in your LDDI which means you have your INS in NAV with GPS available.  Switch your INS to IFA and it may solve your issue.
