rob10's post in M03 MK20 help please! was marked as the answer
If you have a target designated it will always drop in AUTO. You need to undesignate your target for CCIP release to be available.

rob10's post in Mission 1 offset was marked as the answer
Bearing entry has changed recently and you now need to input DDD MM SS (so in this case 075 00 00) to get the bearing to take. Elevation you can set as 0 feet and it will figure it out. EDIT: 08/2025 - setting elevation to 0 feet no longer works.
And yes, it's giving you Bearing and Range (in nm).

rob10's post in Missing deck crew on Stennis was marked as the answer
They said when the new deck crew came out that ALL deck crew was being removed from the Stennis due to conflict with the new ones. They were hoping to be able to put something back on the Stennis at a later date.

rob10's post in Entering 8-digit grid coordinates was marked as the answer
Yes, trailing zeros. Just remember that it's 2 x 5 digit sequences so when your lead calls 9282 2758 you need to input 92820 27580, not 9282275800.
Realistically you could enter 6 digit (928 275 (or 276 if you rounded up)) and probably be close enough to find a target visually. And make sure you set ELEVATION as 0 feet to get it to ground level (if you enter 0 it will adjust it to the appropriate ground level) or you'll be looking at the lovely clouds in the sky 🙂
Also realize that in the very recent past the offset bearing entry has changed (won't be updated in the manual) and you now enter it as DDD MM SS. to the 75 degrees offset bearing gets entered as 075 00 00. You'll see the degree symbol on the UFC that will also help clue you on this.

Are you starting in a shelter? If you don't have visibility to the sky for the GPS it will show IFA RDR until shortly after you leave shelter and it can get GPS signal.

rob10's post in Supercarrier Airboss interaction with monitors??? was marked as the answer
1st off: you need to be in the "airboss" slot (don't remember exactly what it's called) to be able to interact. Just changing the view to it won't let you change things. Would be nice if you could change heading etc without having to exit your current plane slot, but that's not the way it works currently.
2nd: from what I've read (don't use VR so can't confirm) it has issues trying to use it in VR currently even if you're in the airboss slot.

rob10's post in When I enter coordinates acquired from F10 map the resulting waypoint is inaccurate. was marked as the answer
Watched track and can confirm what Phantom711 said. You need to enter the LL DECIMAL version (1 down from what you entered) or change the LL format in the F-18 settings.

Both those logs are still showing a bunch of mods in your saved games folder. I'd start looking there.

You've got a P/INS advisory in your LDDI which means you have your INS in NAV with GPS available. Switch your INS to IFA and it may solve your issue.

rob10's post in Reactivate Long In Screen was marked as the answer
I assume you mean the new launcher? You should be able to turn it back on in one of the options screens - MISC tab "Launcher on start" checkbox. You don't need the launcher if your shortcut points to DCS_updater.exe (it will run the updater).
The HUGE update was likely due to massive changes in Kola and Syria maps rather than not having updated recently. Updates are generally cumulative so if you miss one it won't have much impact on the size of the one after (except in a case like the last one that was huge due to maps).

rob10's post in question about FBW ''feature'' or ''bug'' was marked as the answer
Yep, what @Viral-51st-Vfw said, almost for sure you had flaps in AUTO (rather than 1/2 or full) on takeoff. You become a rocketship if that's the case and you won't be able to use trim or stick to level it UNTIL you flip it to 1/2 (or full) then back to auto. Once you do that it will start to behave itself again. But just make sure you follow a checklist and set them properly (and pay attention to the CK FLAPS caution you'll get when you push throttle ahead with weight on wheels and flaps in auto).

I shoulda just used Google in the 1st place. Search in the forums isn't great.

rob10's post in FLAGS and VALUES was marked as the answer
Yep. You can also use SET FLAG VALUE to set a flag to a specific value. One other thing to remember is that flags are CASE SENSITIVE, so "Flag 1" is different to "flag 1".
Also with FLAG ON/OFF – on and off DO NOT use integer 1/0 when evaluated (i.e. if you set flag ON, it won't evaluate to 1 in "if flag=1“)

rob10's post in Disappearing HMD retical when slaved to the HUD was marked as the answer
Are you in A-G master mode? You won't get a reticle in the HMD if you're not (just a cross IIRC).
I'm assuming you realize that the HMD will blank when you're looking at the HUD unless you turn off HUD BLANKING in the settings for the HMD.

rob10's post in F/A-18C Fuel/APU bug was marked as the answer
Was reported long ago. Even aside from that I doubt it's a high priority fix.
See this thread for a detailed description of procedure restart if you run out of fuel at an airport. Tried it tonight and it works IF you follow the directions exactly (esp. waiting for before turning the EXT POWER switch to OFF).

rob10's post in Problem with actions "Sound to xxxx" was marked as the answer
Do some digging around in this forum. I seem to remember someone else having this issue sometime earlier this year and there was a simple cause (can't remember what the cause was right now).
Here's the thread that has some solutions (farther down in the thread). Others were running into this issue back in Jan of this year and this seemed to help them.

rob10's post in DCS Crash and freezing was marked as the answer
For starters, your system is getting pretty weak for current versions of DCS. At a minimum try bumping your pagefile to get a total of 64 GB between pagefile and physical RAM. There are a lot of recent crash issues where the user has 16 GB or less of RAM. While that may technically meet minimum requirements, it's not really realistic anymore. Also a RX570 video card with 4 GB is going to make this worse (and it doesn't meet min 6 GB requirement). DCS is very memory hungry.

rob10's post in Cannot Open Debrief and Other Sundry Issues was marked as the answer
That really sounds like a hardware issue, likely a hard drive issue (logs are full of access denied errors when trying to write). Blue screen of death and buzzing noise like that is unlikely to be caused by DCS. The update might have increased the load on the hardware just enough cause it to show up now or it might be coincidence that it happened now.

rob10's post in Having issues after the update - No F10 Map, Custom GUI size not working, and Motion Blur is frozen was marked as the answer
Short version is use MT as things are broken in ST. If you're in MT repair (or verify if Steam)

rob10's post in Multithreading EXE File was marked as the answer
If you install DCS from clean then it will set up the MT shortcuts by default. If you use the new launcher it should take you to MT. If you use the updater exe it should take you to MT. If you have an existing install and you're not running the updater on startup (i.e. you're going directly into DCS) you'll need to make sure your shortcuts are set to MT rather than ST. If in doubt just check that it says Multi-Thread preview on the main screen before the version number.

Set your GUI scaling to 1 in the settings and it will fix your issue.

rob10's post in What does the number under the red tilted truck mean? was marked as the answer
Literally that the unit is tilted and by how much. The 2nd number in brackets is the MAX allowed angle and if either of the 1st numbers are higher than the 2nd numbers you'll get this. Mainly meant for SAM's etc that need to be relatively level to be able to function.
