  1. I don't think this has been posted here, so for those who are interested but haven't seen it elsewhere: FSW or FSWeapons is an add on in early development that will implement all kind of guided weapons in FSX, air to air and air to ground, and hopefully in the future even SAMs and AI-planes shooting back. For the moment there will only be single player mode, but we have ideas how to enable multiplayer. You can read about it here: http://sul37.blogspot.com Or you can see it in action here: nqPPEEqLEDo
  2. I could settle for a ill tempered mutated sea bass...
  3. I want frickin' sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their frickin' heads
  4. What would you do to have this kind of simulator in your garage?
  5. Removing the HUD and replace it with a HMD is an interesting concept. But I'm questioning if the benefits make up for the drawbacks. I know they tested different concepts of HMDs for the SAAB Gripen, but the problem was that the added weight and shift in center of gravity for the helmet was worse than the benefits from the system. Remember that every added ounce should be multiplied by 9 at maximum G-loads. Perhaps the helmet for the F-35 is really lightweight, but it doesn't look like it. Steam gauges isn't really necessary for this kind of aircrafts anymore. Therse systems have backups and backups for the backups. An if you have a power failure the aircraft won't be very airworthy anyway. The A and B versions of SAAB Gripen had analogue backup gauges, but these were removed in the C and D version in favour of larger MFDs. However the analogue way of presenting information with needles are far from dead. It's very easy to read quickly, and it's still used on many MFDs. We just have to accept that this is the future way of doing stuff no matter if we find it estethically pleasing or not. However, without really knowing anything about the real functionallity, I find those MFDs for the F-35 a bit overcrowded and not at all user friendly.
  6. You've got to be tone deaf to think those tunes are the same :)
  7. What was the music you used in the film?
  8. Yeah, I saw the link, but my Russian isn't good enough to understand what is said about it... in fact my Russian is nonexistent:cry:
  9. Actually there is a lot of things wrong with it. I hate to sound like a nitpicker. The model is nice, and detailed and a lot of stuff is really good, but there is to many details that is totally wrong. The canopy looks kind of strange, the front hatch for the front landing gear has the wrong shape, the "hump" for the servo for the air brakes is too short and slightly displaced, the outlet for the PSU has the wrong shape, the gun looks very strange, the "ridge back" is wrong some stuff on the fin looks very strange and so on and so forth.... And on top of that there is some serious structural errors. Sorry that my criticism is so harsh but my intention is not to bash the modeller or his effort. I would love to see the Gripen in this sim, but I certainly hope they won't use this model. At least not with all the faults it has at the moment.
  10. I know the guy who made the E-3 model for Lomac. He and I have been working on the Viggen and Gripen, primarily for MSFS, but we thought it might be a good idea to include them in Lomac too. The problem is we haven't been able to contact anyone at ED. Our original contact hasn't answered any of our mails. So if anyone at ED read this, modding the E-3 would be a piece of cake. Just give us someone to contact.
