  1. It's the long overdue version [yea I know.. but it is meant as a joke] :pilotfly:
  2. Hard to argue, except the date keeps getting pushed back. Some people these days (myself being a prime example) just can't afford games like the old days. I am pretty much only able to buy 1 or 2 games a year. I'm going to have to decide.. A-10 OR Battlefield 3, but not both. Which one hits the shelves 1st? A or B? A or B?
  3. Waiting on a boxed version (IMO) only puts me behind in learning the game. If however, I can't run the game, or I want to sell it... there won't be any question as to whether or not it is licensed copy or illegally downloaded. By that I mean, I would never 'buy' a DVD that was burned by a private seller, regardless of them downloading it from the designers server or not. Now we are talking!
  4. Well, I happen to like the physical media (and the box it comes in). Maybe I'm a collector, so..please don't tell me what I should like. I still have my original US Navy Fighters media.. does that make me a fundamentalist? Now, get back to work and get the DVD box out... thank you very much! :music_whistling:
  5. Thanks for the help.. I was thinking of getting one to replace my keyboard and Nostromo during game use.
  6. I can't afford a high-cost flight stick, so I am looking to see if the G13 is something that might help out with keystrokes in the game. I already own a Nostromo N50, which helps quite a bit, but I need more input possibilities. Thanks
  7. Thanks Viper! I did a couple of 'test runs' in the campaign to verify that the site was still active even after taking out the 'snow drift' radar, and yes...those BUK's are very active. I did notice that they wouldn't fire on me as quick (maybe due to the radar not alive to give out proper azimuth and elevations in close), but once I got about a mile away they fire at will. The worse part is, you get no radar warning that you are being tracked because the 'snow drift' is out.
  8. I find this to be a major issue with my moving through the campaign too. For instance, on one of the A10 missions, it says to go for the center 80's. I find them on the ground, but before I do that, my auto-targeting locks onto the sam quad located about half a world away. For some reason, I am unable to release my target lock.. AHHH! After taking those out with guns, the next auto-target locks onto the fuel truck, then the truck, then ANOTHER sam site, further away. After I take those out, I go back to my original target (the 80's) and take them out (with my 65's). Now, I go back to the base, land ok.. and guess what, my wingman didn't make it. I watched the replay from behind my winger and guess what he did.. he skidded across the runway and hit a building.. and yes, he blew himself up. I have found out, its better to tell my wingman to run trail formation, because otherwise, all he does is get himself in trouble. Real quick question regarding sam sites... If I take the radar out (usually in the middle of the site), does that not render the sam site inoperative?
