  1. Muchocracker's post in NWS engaged at touchdown was marked as the answer
it's explicitly mentioned to be used in takeoff in the checklists and automatically engages when the nose gear has WoW's at touchdown.
  2. Muchocracker's post in WPNS DEGD - a Bug or a Feature? was marked as the answer
Directly from the manual bro. The fuses not being armed at all combined with you flying at 400 feet it's triggering the DUD cue and the breakaway cross.
  3. Muchocracker's post in AGM-84H DL13 not showing was marked as the answer
you need to have the DL-13 datalink pod loaded on a station.
  4. Muchocracker's post in F18 SA page Completely Blank on Lower DDI and Non-Functional on L&R DDI was marked as the answer
Disable that DDI mod, it broke with the latest patch
  5. Muchocracker's post in JPF page gives the same options regardless of FMU fuse was marked as the answer
The JPF page is only used with the FMU-152 Joint Programmable Fuse and does not work with anything else
  6. Muchocracker's post in Speedbrake input vs position was marked as the answer
The pitch bobble that happens on deploying and retracting is proper and intended. It's a noted behavior in the NATOPS

  7. Muchocracker's post in I cannot assign more than two JDAMS to PP1? was marked as the answer
You can't assign more than 1 set of coordinates to PP1 on any station. If you're using 2x jdam's on a single pylon you have to put in coordinates into PP1 and then the other set into PP2.

During weapon release it will not auto step the PP2 mission's for each station. So when you are releasing you have drop the first 2 stations in PP1. Then switch the station to PP2 (from the mission page) for the first station, release. Then swap the other station to PP2 before releasing.
  8. Muchocracker's post in FA-18 AGM 84H SLAM End Attack was marked as the answer
As i already explained before. It's terrain/object avoidance. To make sure it has a clear flight path to the intended target and not hit something on the way down.
  9. Muchocracker's post in F/A-18C HMD alignment in flight permanently removes LAR symbology for AMRAAM was marked as the answer
When then happens what symbology *does* it show, is it the VISUAL mode large segmented ring? Make sure you're not inadvertently hitting the CAGE/UNCAGE button a second time once it finishes the coarse/fine alignment. That or check that your button is not ghosting inputting.
  10. Muchocracker's post in What these TNDL settings do? was marked as the answer
As it says. It is the transmit power of the MIDS terminal
  11. Muchocracker's post in BRA Indicator Shows BRA Information to L&S Target was marked as the answer
It's been reported in the past but i guess it needs to get bumped.

This behavior is correct for older OFP's for the hornet. But ours is suppose to be much later(17-19C i dont remember which one). Should always show BRA and A/A WYPT to the cursor regardless of an L&S existing.
  12. Muchocracker's post in What do all the fuzes do? was marked as the answer
M904E4 - mechanical nose fuse with safe separation arming delay and impact function delay settings.
M905 - direction reflection of the 904 but is a tail fuse
FMU-139 - electromechanical tail fuse with arming and function delay. Can be electronically armed in the jet as an instantanious detonation fuse, or use the function delay settings on the faceplate
All 3 of theses are ground crew set and cannot be changed in cockpit minus the caveat with the 139

Mk-339 mod 1 - mechanical time clock dispenser fuse that functions the dispenser based on time from release of the weapon. PRI and OPT are 2 different set of function timings
FMU-140 - Radar altimeter proximity dispener fuse that functions on AGL. Vt1 uses the rad-alt. Vt2 uses a backup time based function. Only accesible on the CBU-99
Both of these fuses are ground crew set. You can change with option to use in cockpit. But you cannot change the timings.

FMU-143 - electromechanical hard target tail fuse. Used for bunker penetration with a higher 75G impact force activation and (should) have a fixed 60ms function delay.
FMU-152 - Joint Programmable Fuse. This the only attachable fuse that is fully in cockpit programmable. But only with JDAM's. JPF page is accessd under JDAM DSPLY --> Mission --> JPF. Has arming and function delay settings. Will use the faceplate settings as default if unmodified.

DSU-33 - AGL airburst nose fuse for the mk-80 series warheads. Fixed 20m burst height.

This about as condensed of an explanation as i can make it. There are a ton of nuances and caveats but this will get you started
  13. Muchocracker's post in ACLS cannot get me to land properly was marked as the answer
The carrier atc ai is basically irrelevant as it's the same lines that it's always used since the release of supercarrier. It has zero impact on the function of ACLS.
There is no mode switching. It's all based on the ACLS, which acquires and locks on at 6 miles and will indicate "ACL RDY MODE 1 on the link 4 page. AFTER the lockon is when you engage coupled autopilot and it will go into P/R mode. If you're using the coupled heading mode on the approach before ACLS lockon you have to disengage CPL and rengage it for it switch to P/R.
Reproduce it and post the track here in the thread. I cannot do much diagnosing otherwise.
  14. Muchocracker's post in Training - Canister Munition Bombing is Bugged was marked as the answer
Both the mk-20 and the cbu-99 have the mk339 mod 1 mechanical time fuse by default. If you want the radar altimeter fuse load the FMU-140 on your dispensers.
    This is correct as is.
  15. Muchocracker's post in HACQ stops working through the HUD was marked as the answer
To clarify the actual issue here. When the helmet is facing forward within the HUD "angle limit" BACQ should always take priority of HACQ (even with blank off). It looks like when HACQ gets activated it's disabling BACQ entirely and not being re-activated when moving your head back to the HUD. Forcing you to change ACM modes and reselect BORESIGHT to get it to come back.

    Reported.
  16. Muchocracker's post in Learning to bomb with GBU12 with Unlimited Ammo turned on, no success. was marked as the answer
Confirmed through my tests. My guess is the in air rearm is loading bombs of the old version before the fusing change and it doesn't get the new avionics info passed to say the fuse is armed.

So i guess if you wanna use unlimited ammo you're SOL right now.
  17. Muchocracker's post in Unlimited Weapons Setting (Bombs) in 2.9.6...... was marked as the answer
There is a bug with bombs that doesn't properly re-load them with the new fusing configuration. Wait for a patch.
  18. Muchocracker's post in Harpoons sticking to the same flight profile (LOW/SKIM) regardless of input was marked as the answer
Please get another track that is more brief like an air start, and better keep the displays in the camera view. If i can't see anything going on in the SMS page or whatever else you're doing with the weaponeering and i can't diagnose if what is happening is a bug or improper procedure.

From what i am able to see you're firing them way too close. Well within their acquistion range even at medium seeker search volume setting.
  19. Muchocracker's post in Adv-Load / CCIP symbol crossed out was marked as the answer
Came with the fusing changes, it's an MC load fault. It happens when you have bombs of the same type loaded with different fuses. They have to be the same.
  20. Muchocracker's post in ATFLIR breaks Autopilot was marked as the answer
Again. Just "turning it off" doesnt do anything because the designation is still there. Remove the designation and it will allow you to select a waypoint and turn the auto sequence/cpl autopilot back on again.

You can't do both of these things at the same time it's just not how the hornet works
  21. Muchocracker's post in Yet another carrier landing thread. Sorry. Onspeed. AP disconnect. was marked as the answer
Aircraft only auto trims to 1G when the flap switch is set to auto. With Gear and Flaps down it's more trying to nullify pitch rate instead of targetting a specific G load.

And you are correct. Airspeed should be the last thing you look at when getting the jet on speed. The VV and the E-Bracket are the most important, while airspeed is almost entirely dependent on your gross weight.
