  1. I wouldn't refuse to fly it. I'd still buy it for sure. I'd just be a bit disappointed that it wasn't the Super Hornet. When you read comparisons like this it's difficult to get excited about the C: Flying the F/A18F Super Hornet
  2. Madcatz launches Thunderhawk Studios CEO Darren Richardson: "[it will] "leverage the market share leadership and global distribution enjoyed by our flight simulation hardware products." Sounds promising - remember they own Saitek. Hopefully they'll make something decent that isn't just a HAWX clone!
  3. I would, without hesitation, pay $100+ for new, well-made combat flight sims. It's a niche genre, and the devs need all the help they can get so they can carry on making more of them. Maybe set the retail price at $50-60 and then incorporate some kind of donation system on top?
  4. That's fine, you don't understand my opinion. Maybe I can try explaining again. All I'm saying is, if you're going to do an F/A18 sim, you might as well do the Super Hornet, otherwise people are going to feel short changed. It's like doing an F15 sim and only including the F15C when everyone wants to fly the F15E Strike Eagle. I'm not talking about other jets, that's a different kettle of fish. I honestly don't care which aircraft ED choose, as long as they include the latest and best variant of it. What can I say, I like to have the best of everything.
  5. That's not quite what I meant (although I think you know that). They wouldn't be available in the sim, but they're out there in the real world, and that would beat me up every time I flew the sim. It would be like driving a banged-up old Ford while everyone around you is driving a Ferrari. Maybe I just need some education and convincing on the C's capabilities. At the moment it just seems like the weaker, smaller brother of the E/F, which doesn't make me feel good about it. edit - so, I read page 225 where ED confirmed that the next aircraft would be a fixed-wing US jet. Guess it's probably going to be the F16, which is no bad thing at all :)
  6. I would be delighted with DCS F16, AH64 or F/A18. However, if ED do decide to go with the Apache, then it has to be the Longbow. What's the point in going with anything else? You'll just feel like you're flying an inferior aircraft if it's not a Longbow. Same goes for the F/A18 - it HAS to be the Super Hornet. They're better in every possible way, even down to looks. I couldn't stand to fly a C when I know that the E and F are available.
