  1. Hey. Total noob to both DCS and flight sims in general. That said, I have a couple questions about the campaigns for the Spitfire MIX. 1. When I attempt to fly above ~20,000ft. my engine starts sputtering and I need to dive in order to gain consistent function. I saw in another thread where I need to turn on the electric fuel pump. I have not tried this yet, but my question is - should I be leaving the electric pump on at all times? Just when above 20K feet? 2. About 75% of the time when I launch a mission neither my "Sim" nor my "Easy" profiles load for my joystick (Saitek X52). I am stuck with some stock joystick profile where the buttons I have mapped for things like (wheel brakes, guns, etc.) are not available. I cannot tell if this is a bug, an X52 issue, or a issue with my Options. I am flying in game mode with just about every aid turned on. When I hit ESC and "Adjust Controls" it claims I am using my "Sim" profile....but buttons mapped there are not available. Switching to "Easy" profile also does not work. 3. Finally - in IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad you are able to "Lower" the skill level of the enemy pilots. Makes it easier for us losers to get a kill now and then. Is there anything like this in DCS? I have seen in the campaigns where you can set pilot skill when building a campaign, but wondering if you can edit skill level in purchased campaigns. Any help from all you Aces is much appreciated!! Patrick (AKA 'Target Practice')
  2. Hi guys - I have been away from LOMAC for about a year. I just purhcased a new PC, so I dusted off the box and decided to reinstall LOMAC and LOMAC FC. Here are my issues: 1. I bought the "gold" version of the game that had the bad FC disk 2. I was mailed a new one....but I stupidly put both disk 2's back in the box. So...is there any way to tell which is the bad disk 2 and which is the good one? 2. I am installing the game on a different PC than the one I originally installed and registered the game on. Will this cause registration issues with Starforce? All help is much apprecaited! PB
  3. Anyone? Does *anyone* have tracks recorded of successful F-15 campaign missions? They would be very valuable to us newbs to learn the ropes.
  4. Shepski - I was looking waaaaay back in the forums and I saw that long ago you had posted some tracks of you completing F-15 campaign missions. The links in the older posts were dead and I was wondering if you still have any of these posted anywhere. If you didnt save them, would you mind recapturing a few and making them available? I am having a really tough time with the campaign and watching tracks of successful completions would be AWESOME (particularly maneuvers, wingman commands, weapons selection, etc.) Anyway - the campaign missions that are such a cake walk for you veterans are damn near insurmountable for us newbs that just bought 'Gold. Any help would be much appreciated!
  5. Thanks for the input, but... I havent really gotten any conclusive answers. 1. Is the VE really necessary? Yes or no. Seems like "No". 2. Does LOMAC support 6 full DOF in 1.1 FC?
  6. I am thinking about buying the Track IR 3 Pro because I am horrible at POV/Padlock usage within the game. Here is my question: do I really need both the Track IR 3 Pro AND the vector expansion? Is the Vector expansion only nice to have, or is it really required to have a positive user experience? I am sure the vector expansion is nice to have, but is it really a necessity?
