  1. Got my x52 pro. Still trying to get it all configured. The Saitek software does not work well for me. I spent hours and no joy, so slowly doing in game configuring. When I had a Cybor rat 7 Saitek's software did not work either. I think I just happen to have a system that their software does not interface with. From what I hear this is rather common. They make great hardware but bad software.
  2. Thank you, I might take you up on that at some point in time. It certainly is gonna take some time for me to feel comfortable before I would be willing to waste any ones time flying with me. I am anxious for the controller and get really learn the game/simulator with better controllers.
  3. x64 Windows 7 here. Been running 64 bit ever since XP Pro 64 beta.
  4. I just ordered the Saitek x52 Pro straight from MadCatz. No one in our area has any decent controllers at all. Thanks for the input. While I wait for it to arrive I will familiarize myself with the game, especially try to read through some of the manuals and maybe watch some of the tutorials that I see on the forums here. BTW- Veteran Gamers website that I just found seem to have a real nice profile and a great layout picture for the controller and this simulator.
  5. Yea, I think the HOTAS Warthog is a bit out of my range... The Saitek x52pro looks, good. I see there is a X52 version which looks similar, only a bit less. That is probably my style :)... Will look a bit this evening I think.
  6. Well you do have to start somewhere. I just purchased the Simulator and took it out for a spin in the game mode just to get a little feel for it.
  7. Ok, I was able to adjust the sensitivity a bit... could actually fly around and shot down one plane. I actually flew around (free flight) for a bit without crashing (woot woot)... I would have never guessed how to adjust the controller sensitivity. So, opinions, is the Microsoft SideWinder good enough, or is there a better controller suggestion (without going too crazy)?
  8. Hello All, I am brand new to Warthog (or whatever you guys prefer to call it). I have not ran a high level sim for a while. I do have Flight Sim X, which is fine, but always wanted a good A-10 simulator. I used to run Falcon 4 back in the day. Anyway, enough about my background. My question is: Is there any way to adjust the joy stick control sensitivity? I have a Microsoft SideWinder Precision Pro (fairly old) and in my first run (game mode just to get it up and running) it seemed like it was way too sensitive. I would barely move the stick and the plane was all over the place. Is it just my SideWinder? Is a controller upgrade in order? Assuming I can not buy the ultra expensive controller that was special made for this simulator (and reviewed along with the Simulator in Maximum PC this month), which controller would be recommended. I appreciate the input. I hope I won't drive you guys too crazy with my questions. The documentation that comes with the product appear quiet overwhelming. Thank you, Randy
