  1. Thanks MAXsenna and Tshark for your efforts in helping me out.  Resetting the LUAs didn't work for me.  However the missing piece of the puzzle was that I did NOT have the "Use custom DCS path" box checked within the Config tab. The box is now checked, the associated path is correct, and the Interactive Kneeboard shows up again.  So glad I saw that bit of info on Discord before I went down the uninstall and reinstall path.

  2. I thought I had updated to v2.8.6.3 correctly, but now I can't see the VaicomPro interactive kneeboard page in DCS, even after a full shutdown and restart of the PC.  I can see, and flick through, all the other kneeboard pages though.  I've got the ENABLE box ticked in the EX tab.  Does anyone know what I might have done wrong and how to fix it?  Viacom is working as I can say commands such as "inbound", "place the wheelchocks" etc and get a verbal response from DCS.

  3. I'm occasionally using Splashtop WiredX Displaysoftware to use my iPad as a second monitor.  If I host a mission without the iPad connected and that software not running, then friends can see my server in the MP list and join that server.

However if I run a server but with the iPad connected and that software running, then my server is not visible on the MP page.  If they try a direct connect via IP address then I believe my friends get a message that the server is offline.

I'm running Norton as my anti-virus and firewall, and I believe I have all the Splashtop application files as approved programs in Norton.

Would anyone have any tips on why hosting with Splashtop running for the second screen is preventing me from hosting a MP session?

  4. I really should clean house more often.....found this Computer Pilot magazine from January 2009 (plus a heap of others) from back in the day when the Black Shark was just being released, it being a (quote) "sizeable 2.1 Gb", and back when video cards weren't quite as powerful.

  5. Thanks to Hollywood for firstly creating a fantastic add-on, and secondly for now sharing it out for ongoing development.  It is no skin off my nose that I only paid for it a month or so ago.  It was worth every cent.  Thanks also to the new crew getting together to develop it into the future.

  6. Flying the Hornet and entering 10 digit grid co-ordinate into the UFC.  My first screenshot shows the 10 digit precise co-ord 0042696142 before I press ENT on the UFC.  In the 2nd screenshot you can see the last number of the co-ord for the WPT has been reduced by one to be 0042696141.

Does anyone else have this (very minor?) issue.

    Hi,

you can switch profiles in Voice Attack.

new command -> other -> voiceattack action -> switch to another profile

I knew that, but thanks to your response I have changed the way I was thinking in relation to referencing other profiles to achieve what I want to achieve.  Instead of using VaicomPro as my default profile and referencing the other profiles in to it, I will now reference VaicomPro in to each aircraft's individual profile.  Then I will do as you suggest and switch individual aircraft profiles by using the new command - other - voiceattack action - switch to another profile.

    Thanks for your help 🙂

  8. I have separate profiles for each of the modules (ie Hornet and Apache) I use.  My VAICOM profile is set up to use commands (reference) from those separate profiles.  Is there a way to set up a command to turn off/ignore all the commands in one of the reference profiles?

    As an example:

    - to press the first pushbutton above the Hornet's left DDI I say "Hornet Screen 1 T 1"

    - to press the first pushbutton above the Apache's left MFD I say "Apache Screen 1 T 1"

I'd like to be economical with words and just say "Screen 1 T 1" after I had already told VA I am flying the Apache.

What I am hoping is that there is a way for VA to toggle off / ignore all my Hornet referenced commands once I tell it I am flying the Apache.  Alternatively I want it to toggle off all the Apache commands if i tell it I am flying the Hornet.

Hopefully I haven't waffled on too much.

  9. Ive now fixed the sound / device issue. First of all I deleted the headset driver, unplugged the unit, turned off the PC, restarted it, installed the latest headset driver and then plugged the headset back in. All of that did no good at all. What did work was plugging the headset into a different USB port. Everything is now fine. Originally the headset was plugged into an 8 USB slot card that it was sharing with the VirPil and CH controllers. I'm guessing there is some sort of issue with the USB card architecture.

  10. Not sure this issue belongs in this sub-forum, but my issue is:

    - Santa was very good to me and I have (today) now installed, calibrated and have assigned buttons and axes to my VirPil flight stick, throttle and rudder pedals.  I am also retained my old CH throttle quadrant.

    - All the controllers are working fine when I have the Main Audio Out as my desk speakers (Speakers Realtek Audio)

    - When I change the Main Audio Out to my Corsair headphones, only 1 of the 4 controllers then works.

    - If I change Main Audio Out back to the desk speakers, all 4 controllers work again.

Does anyone have an idea what might be causing the controllers to not work when the headphones are selected?  This seems super strange to me.

  11. Just a query on the damage model for the Anton.  I'm guessing it is far from simple, but I would have expected that rounds from a Spitfire that put a hole through the canopy next to the pilot's head (when the canopy was closed), plus rounds that entered the fuselage next to the pilot's torso would have been pilot killers (round has gone through the green heart / orange shield emblem).  As it was the AI pilot was able to fly on and make a successful no-tyre landing.
