  1. Ok new video card installed. FPS now solid in the 20-24 range with higher settings. GPU usage averages 27% so it is obvious that I need to replace CPU as well.
  2. Ran some tests last night and nothing stands out as being the single issue so... I ordered the MSI video card and will see if that gives me an improvement. Played with over clocking CPU, if that does not work I will get a new processor in the next month. If I still have issues I will borrow 8 gig of faster ram (DDR2) from the office. If issues remain I will upgrade MB, and get DDR3 ram. Thanks
  3. sorry, current board is AM2 but can upgrade to AM3 with a simple BIOS update. Was looking at either a CPU AMD HDZ970FBGMBOX Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition Processor - 3.50GHz, Socket AM3, 6MB Cache, 2000MHz (4000 MT/s) FSB or Video Card MSI R6850 Cyclone PE/OC Radeon HD 6850 Video Card - 1GB, GDDR5, PCI-Express 2.0 x16, HDMI, Dual DVI, DisplayPort, Directx 11, Dual-Slot, Overclocked My only restriction with my current MB is DDR2 memory. I know I should just build a new rig, but until my wife gets a new job I need to focus funds on feeding the kids....seems they are addicted to food!
  4. OK, here is my situation. My current rig is 3.5 years old and while I can play A-10c...it is far from optimal. Current Specs AMD Phenom Quad Core 2.2Ghz ATI Radeon 3850 4 Gb My FPS is rather low (14-20) and when I monitor system performance while playing I notice that my CPU is working hard (70%-80%) and my GPU is also performing in the same range. At this point I can only afford 1 upgrade...Either get a new Video card or upgrade CPU to an AM2+ or an AM3. Any recommendations?

  6. I am using PPJoy for everything. I think the real cause of my issues is the fact that I am an idiot! I was assigning controls by using the "Assign Axis" button at the bottom of the page. When I took the time to check all commands...it seems that BS had also applied the controls as MOMO Left, MOMO Right and so on in a different section of the command list. I also think that the reason that it works for Sim Avionics and not Game Avionics is because I have only cleared out these extra listings in the Sim Controls list. When I get home I will try the Game Controls List as well to see if that works. Thanks again for all of your help.
  7. OK, another cause. It seems it does not work with Game Avionics. I switched Game Avionics off and it works fine...I jsut need to remap buttons and learn how to fly it as a 100% sim.
  8. GOT IT! FF was interfering. Plainsight you have helped me more than you could know. I have spent the last two weeks trying to get this to work and in a few hours you have SET ME UP! Using the steering wheel as the collective rocks even more than the pedals! Thank you!
  9. I have set everything in glovepie, tested PPHoy 6 in GAme Controllers and everything tests perfectly. Then I go into BS-Options-Axis and cleared everything from my Cyborg joystick and Momo then assign it all to the PPJoy6. Then verify controls with Axis Tune...it works perfectly. In game the rudder pedals end up controlling Pitch or Joystick Y instead of the rudders and my steering wheel which I have set to control collective instead control Joystick X. In other words it is like BS is refusing to use the PPJoy but is going with the native axis's from the Momo. Can I trick BS into not 'seeing' the Momo and the Cyborg and only see the PPJoy?
  10. Plainsight, Perfect, I have the glovepie file set up. New problem. It seems that BS is still detecting the native joystick and momo even though I have cleared their settings in BS-Options-Assign Axis. Do I need to modify a lua so that BS does not recognize those 'sticks' at all?
  11. PlainSight< Thanks for the Glovepie recommendation. One question - how do I know which joystick number my momo is for input?
  12. My profile manager has the combined pedals checked, but when I go to assign the axis in BS the brake pedal has full control while the accelerator pedal does nothing. If I can get this working I plan on mounting the steering wheel on the left side of my chair (or on a low table) and simply rotate the wheel to control collective. Winz is correct with the external power removed (or with FF off) the wheel does not center and has minimal resistance. I have even played with the idea of velcroing a piece of PVC to the wheel so that it operates as more of a collective stick. I would simply adjust the saturation in BS to account for less travel.
  13. Already did that...only recognizes break pedal
  14. OK, I have searched, I have studied and I have tried without success. Here is my dream. I have a Cyborg Evo...(why Oh why did I get rid of my old CH gear!) and a Logitech Momo red. I want to use the Momo pedals for rudder and the steering wheel for the collective. The problem is I cannot get the pedals to recognize properly and the steering wheel reports as the X-Axis conflicting with my joystick. What am I missing in the Logitech profile manager? Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
