Strange I just recovered my forum password to post this after not finding any messages. Looks like you beat me to it by 20 minutes ;) I have the same issue.

I recently read a post about entering wind details into the LASTE component of the CDU to improve dumb bomb delivery. I followed the guide but when I get to the bit where you have to enter the altitude for the wind data I start with line 1 as 00 (ground level). This is fine. But when I enter 06 (for 6000ft) it goes in as 03. I tried 09 and this goes in as 07. I'm confused, does anyone have an explaination.

I was using the new CBU's and noticed that if you leave the HOF as default...they either don't work or don't split in time to be fully effective. What settings including the HOF are people using to get the most out of them? Cheers Split.

I have been trying to practice the CCIP method of dropping bombs (not using CR). I'd like to be able to "properly" drop the bombs without the Minimum range staple making the solution invalid (This always happens to me). Could people give me some guidance on things like the distance away from the target before starting the dive. The dive angle. Fuze settings. Minimum altitude etc etc. I hear alot of people who say its easier to manually drop bombs with CCIP than using the guided munitions, I am apparently the opposite.

I saw a video of someone panning around the map using the TAD with it completely unlinked from your aircraft in the centre. I've looked in the manual but am unable to find out how to do this. Could someone explain how please?

So has anyone found out the real reason that this happens from time to time? I myself have experienced it a few times and its usually associated with pulling stupid amounts of G coming out of a strafing run/dive bomb.

Well I was watching that and you didn't get any replies from atc when I was watching. I can't tell why, your radio was powered on and you were using simple radio so it should work. I'm guessing you don't have to use the correct radio with the simple radio? I don't know since I don't use it.

I'm guessing CCIP-CR is used as a faster way to acquire a target. It may also be preferable to use if you aren't carrying a TGP on board with which to set the spi

I have noticed since I patched that system failures listed in the track information no longer tell you which system has been affected. Is this new with the patch? A bug? Or is this a problem with my own setup?

I would like to know if anyone has any tips finding the heading of a tank column using the tgp, I'm assuming theres a few techniques for doing this but when I try I'm not having much luck. PS: That should be a moving tank column.

The bug when switching from apu gen to AC gens cutting the power is gone though, so ground power is less useful for me.

Since the patch I am having difficulties with getting the ground power turned off, anyone else got this?

I wonder if theres a way to turn it off.

My flight stick doesn't seem to move instantly to where I move it and take it's time. Is this intended or a problem with my controller?

I'm on about the 9-line that JTAC will give you when checking in. I often find the targets at the initial coordinates but also will make a waypoint out of the offset information supplied. I never seem to find anything at the offset.

I've went through a load of tutorials and been manually inputting the location JTAC gives me (mainly because of the devils cross first mission bug). One taught me how to input the offset of heading and distance. I'm just wondering why JTAC gives you this offset? Are the targets meant to be at the offset or is this the desired location to attack from?

I thought it was something I'd done, but on checking the track log it actually had VHF AM failure.

I recently flew a mission where my VHF AM radio randomly faulted. What would be the correct way to contact ATC in this case?

I've been practising aerial refuels online and offline, i've had a limited bit of success online and decided to try it offline (since I'd end up dragging the tanker down and mess the missions up for everyone else). The problem I'm having is that offline I link up with the tanker....sometimes better than others and almost instantly get a disconnect EVERY time. I've sat on the boom according to the track log for a whole minute and not taken a single bit of fuel. I have attached the track if anyone would like to check out what I'm doing wrong. It is most likely a case of dodgy flying, I'm not the best but getting there. refuelhelp.trk
