    It does, but because of those upcoming modules it's risky. If they decide to give some discount on those modules on the account of the FC3 purchase, great, but if not, you better get your money's worth till those modules come out (if AFM and whatever's in line for the modules in future is something you fancy).

     

    If you have some other modules to play with in the meantime, the safest bet IMHO would be to wait.

     

    Thanks for the advice mate. I will do just that and wait, maybe try out the new Huey which I'm definitely getting. Need to control my impulse purchases :(:doh:

    Hey guys. Just a little background, I have had every lock on games since...well the original lock-on. Flaming cliffs 1 and 2 etc. TO be honest, with work and study, I've hardly had time to play any of them.

     

    I have also A-10, Combined arms etc.

     

    I'm wondering if I should get flaming cliffs 3 with the fact that the modules will be coming out in next few months?

     

    Does current FC3 integrate with DCS world? Probably not right?

     

    Just not sure where's the wisdom in buying FC3 now then having to buy modules again few months down the road.

     

    Any insight on this? I ask only because $ is very tight and if I can avoid a double purchase of what is essentially almost the same thing, I'd like to do so.

    External Mouse View Problem!

    Hey guys, I was searching around the forums but could not find the answer to my question.

     

    My cockpit mouse controls are find, but when I got to external view everything is inverted! (zoom, horizontal and vertical views)

     

    This is the same in A-10C, Black Shark 2 and Flaming Cliffs 2.

     

    How do I solve this problem?

     

    I've tried messing with the controls and inverting the axis for mouse look but it seems to have no effect on external view.

     

    Surely there is a simple solution to my problem? What am I missing?

    algorithms written in the game require to be setup in multi-threading(forcing more than one core.) environment...which isn't possible with the code therefore you face that problem.By the way my friends i was wondering if you set the priority of the game to Above High from the process list in the task manager doesn't that help to avoid that problem?

    How fast is your CPU? That's a 2.8 from the factory, and that is a bit slow for DCS. Overclock? It looks like people can get 3.6 or more from that, and DCS should run pretty smooth with that.

     

    If you cannot get any more speed out of your CPU, you might consider setting distance at medium (presuming you have it at high)

     

    Yeap it's a 2.8 when all 4 cores are running and 3.2 when a single core is running.

     

    Is it really the CPU? Never thought a quad core i7 would have issues even if the clock isn't > 3.0 Ghz....

    Hey guys, I've just installed black shark 2.

     

    I run all the highest settings at 1920x1080, with Tree Shadows off and 4XAA

     

    Specs:

    i7 860

    12Gb DDR3 Ram

    GTX 560 Ti Factory OC'ed

    Windows 7 64bit

    Latest Nvidia drivers

     

    The game is generally smooth all the way, I didn't check the fps.

     

    But whenever I shoot rockets at city buildings, the frame rate slows to a crawl (I reckon below 8fps) and stutters like a slide show.

     

    Do you guys know what settings I should reduce to avoid this? (although I guess I usually don't shoot rockets at buildings, this was just something I found out at random while trying the Instant Mission....)

    Also just as a side not, have not been following ED news for awhile not and is it true that the next plane they are releasing is the P51 Mustang?

    O have both lock on Flaming CLiffs and Flaming Cliffs 2.

     

    Do i need to install the original lock on with flaming cliffs for flaming cliffs 2 to be able to run?

     

    I feel like it's just dead weight on the computer.

    ** I have both installed and they both run. What I am really wondering, is if it is possible to remove Lock On, will flaming cliffs 2 still work as per normal?

    Hey guys, just got the game. Loved black shark and flaming cliffs 2. But think i'm gonna stick with game mode for now for lack of time :megalol:

     

    Can anyone explain to me the patches on the main DCS website?

     

    Do i have to download and install all of them one by one?

     

    Is there no FULL 1.1.0.9 patch link anywhere? That would be much easier
