  1. Incorrect. Colidable trees are part of the new terrain and EDGE. We have them in NTTR

Caucasus Is currently being adapted to work with EDGE but no word if trees will be colidable, I imagine it will depend on how well the old map works with EDGE and what the FPS impact will be.

    What does that excatly entail?

Is it just being converted to work?

Or is it being upgraded with better terrain data and textures? I would very much hope so.

  2. Try going to your nvidia control panel and enabling adaptive vsync and turning vsync off in the DCS options instead. Also hit Right ALT + ENTER for full screen mode in the mission. I and others are getting good results with that.

    This!

Edit: I'm using trackIR aswell, without problems. Hovers around 59 to 61 fps.

  3. Bought it a few days ago(along with MiG-15 and Sabre) with my bonus points.

Surprisingly fun plane to fly. :pilotfly:

Would'nt have bought it without the PFM though. (M2000c looking interesting, if it gets the PFM or similar aswell)

  4. Amazing collection.

    Especially like the sharkmouth.

*cough*got to take good look of her and and the Biltema spitfire at Sola in Norway just recently*cough*

It's the Mustang that had the "Old Crow" paint earlier. :pilotfly:

  5. Could'nt give a damn about if it's realistic or not. Because it's a really presice and accurate piece of hardware. And your muscles will learn how to use it.

    I have now used it in these aircraft: KA50, Huey, SU-27, MIG-21, FW190, BF109 and A-10

You still "feel the position" by how much force you put into the stick after awhile.

I don't miss the warthog base. Infact, i did'nt swap the board at first incase i was'nt happy.

First few flights you'll be going up and down ALOT :D

Until you get used to it.

I've got mine aligned to my right side arm. Since you have to use force on it (quite alot to get max deflection) you don't get that sore in your elbow and wrist.

This way you use your whole arm to move the stick.

Using the BMS software (as that gives me two sticks) for Warthog and FFSB.

I use the FFSB for the axis and Warthog for buttons. Axis because you need abit more force for full deflection. I run normal force "mode".

I also use a deadzone of 2% on both axis in DCS. This gives just enough room to relax the hand on the grip without input.

  6. Forgot to say, i'm using Warthog throttle Mic switch for this. Up is pause, down is center.

Forward and back i use for zooming in slow and out in the different planes. Have'nt tried it on other buttons.

Does not seem to conflict with any button pressen on other controllers. I have target installed but are not using it.

  7. 104th is a PvP server. It's what majority want. LO/FC was a big thing. It fills exactly the niche that the consumer base want, irregardless of what individuals want.

What are you trying to say actually? No one said anything about removing the PVP aspect.

Seems that the server gets populated with a healhty mix of a-a and a-g.

PVP or not, it does not hurt to spice things up abit.

Too bad about the Tacview thing. Anything above 30min usually get's corrupted. Or if you fly really low, it shows you as getting killed :D

  8. So you want to have a button to center your TrackIR?

That is done within TrackIR software itself.

In the middle left section of the program. It's called HOTKEYS.

If its the veiw in the airplane you are talking about, it's default to numpad enter.

Also take a look at this video for TrackIR:

  9. I would be very interested in Blue v Red "whole hog" scenario.(means ground material aswell)

I'm not so sure it would be that big a blow to the numbers. I think it would have the opposite effect, actually. Have this been tested in recent years? (No testing, how do we know for sure?)

Atleast try it for a regular "event" or something, maybe weekly, bi-weekly?

Was cool flying in darker settings though, really screwed with the SA in the MiG-21.

Been flying ground pounders aswell, and have'nt seen any moving units yet. Would be nice to see some patrolling units in different areas. Or would this result in more server load?

Maybe expand the ground pounding to actually looking for the targets aswell. Or like a bonus coloumn or targets that you have to find. Sort of like the Recon planes you have to hunt.

Anyways, appreciate the open server.

  10. Voted Extremely Important.

I've had planes disappear just before my eyes!

But if I am a chopper pilot hiding from air superiority jets, will scaling make my chopper bigger than the house I am hiding behind?

    Interesting question.

I think maybe? But your eyes are drawn to/notice moving objects so maybe not a problem?
