  1. Cool, thanks for the replies guys! As I said, even with the little wiggle room, this stick is still great. I almost exclusively use the setup for helicopter stuff. Haven't actually played DCS properly yet, I have just been using the Dodosim B206 in FSX. Wow, it's so similar to the real thing! I've got a CPL with about 180hrs (all rotary) so while I am back studying and not flying for the next little while I am just trying to keep myself "semi-current". Just spent 1.8 doing circuits and exercises, feels good to fly again :p The Dodosim model is awesome, even works for things mock pedal jams and the like. Will have to get into DCS, there is just so much to learn for it! I can never bring myself to fly a sim on anything but the most realistic settings, so Black Shark is quite a learning curve! Anyway, that mod for the hall sensor could be a good idea. Initally I didn't like the idea of opening the stick, but that seems a very straightforward mod with no real possible negatives - because it's totally reversible. Hmmm, might go get some bluetak! Thanks for the welcome and the help. Tk
  2. Hey guys, I've just bought a new sim setup as I was having withdrawal symptoms... I decided on the X52 Pro for the hand controls. I've done maybe 4-5 hours flying with it, and I am very happy with it all - BUT - I have a question for anyone else who owns an X52. Right out of the box I noticed the stick has a little bit of "wiggle room", or "play" in the very centre. Measured from the top of the stick it equates to about 5mm "freeplay" in each direction. When looking at the calibration data it seems this play is also more or less a 100% deadzone. I just wondered if other peoples sticks have the same tolerance in the centre, or if they are all totally rigid and tight? Only got a couple of days left to return it if I need to... Really appreciate any advice! Cheers, Tk
