The real solution is to use the normal practice in the Unix/Linux world and ensure that the Users folder is either on a different & larger drive or assigned to its own partition/drive so as to keep user data off the small but fast boot drive. Windows default installs are set up for a single-drive environment, if you are running a split drive environment you should move Users elsewhere. Modern versions of Windows can mount a drive anywhere in the file structure, so you can actually assign a drive in its entirety to just the Users folder structure, you don't have to actually give a drive letter to the drive. The same can be done for your Program Files folder(s). Users is the correct place for all user data. But as above, Users should never be placed on a small system drive.
