  1. I had come to this conlcusion as well. I'm seeing 1080TIs floating between $500 and $600 on ebay. That's not that much more than what I was thinking of spending, for about the best without breaking the bank for a 2080TI.
  2. So, I guess you could say I'm graphics card agnostic and have switched between AMD/Nvida before. After reading your post, I looked around. Everything about the Navi 10 is speculation at this point. And nothing is going to be available until the middle of 2019. Which is fine. On upgrading my cpu, yeah, I've thought about getting a 7th gen, as it would be a swap in my current mobo. But I'm not considering upgrading the mobo at this point. Also, I was under the impression that nvidia is favored for DCS over AMD. Or did that get worked out at some point?
  3. Hello all. I've recently acquired a WMR headset (lenovo explorer) over the holidays. And while my current MSI GTX970 Gaming 4G is just OK, I'm considering a new card to get some more performance. My question is, with a budget of I'll say around $350, should I be looking for 2nd hand 10XX cards? Or I had this article come to my attention about the RTX2060. It looks to be comparable to a 1080, but comes with some Ray tracing ability (which I don't necessarily care about, particularly for DCS). I've also noticed some good deals on 1070 and 1070ti cards in that same price range. Just want to get a feel for what people have experienced, some advice on those cars, or if I should wait. Thoughts? Thanks in advance. Current system: i7-6700k @ 4.2GHz 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz GTX 970 Gaming 4G Gigabyte GA-Z170MX Gaming 5 mobo
