I installed the patch from the downloads section and it works fine. I do not believe it asked me for a serial key when I installed it. Perhaps it is because I purchased BS1 on Steam? I am not sure. Does it install but not allow you to access the BS2 content? The menus and interface change after installing the patch, and it says that it's BS2.

This says it patches BS1 to BS2, the same version as shown in the shop.

Hi I recently purchased Black Shark 1, and I wasn't sure what the difference is between the paid upgrade version of BS2 (as seen in the E-shop) and the free upgrade version of BS2 (as seen in the Downloads/Software section). Does the paid version have more content or what?
