  1. I have bought a new computer and would like my key mappings copied from old to new but which files do I need to copy over? I have copied two scripts folders and a config folder but still no key mappings. Suvv.
  2. Devs, Are the multiplayer mission editor issues being addressed in the patch? I have a mission that at mission start uses the random function to set some flags. These flags are then used to create some randomness to the mission. However, it would appear that there is an instance of mission start per player and not one single instance for all players. Therefore, each player can get a different set of flag values as they each seem to have their own set of flags. It would also be really neat to use wildcards. For example if I have an enemy group called evg with evg #1 evg#2 etc it would be really nice to be able to reference the group as evg% - if you see what mean. Or if I have player #1 and player #2 it would be neat to send a message to player% which would send a message to all players.
  3. 1. Route Mode will take you to the waypoint displayed on PVI-800. You should also be aware of the Desired Track and Desired Heading switch. In route mode with desired track it will follow the line between A and B but with desired heading it will take you ( as the crow flies ) directly to the selected waypoint. 2. Click the reset targeting switch.
  4. My first mission. 2 player Co-Op 1 of 8 random outcomes. About 1/2 hr to initial patrol area. For mission editors this could be a good template for other random missions as one scenario out of a possible 8 is triggered each time. You'll need to be able to program lats/longs into the PVI-800 and be able to navigate to those locations. Pencil and paper recommended to write down lats/longs. A small surprise on the way home after the engagement. Some engagements are easy others may bite. Luck of the draw. Some lats/lons are last seen and will only give an area, others are quite accurate and you should easily find the targets. Co-ordinates are taken from the playable game and not from the editor so are not subject to the reported issue. No points or prizes. Mission not fully tested, played at own risk. Suvv. 5. Yes, it was the first waypoint.
  6. for those who use CH products and want the PoV to slew the ShkVal diagonally I will write a script to do it ( when I get the time ) and post it. To perform diagonal movement you have to send two keys like "Left once, Up once" for diagonally up to the left. I have done it before with the mini-joystick on the CH Throttle and used another button to add a delay so that I have a coarse and fine mode. I'll see if I can find that too. No promises though. If I have the time and inclination I'll do it.
  7. Whilst flying with AutoPilot and on Desired Track although the heli starts on the DT it begins to wander off track after a relatively short period. Is this normal? Is it because it needs an INU fix? It does seem to be after a short period so I'm not sure it is this. Suvv.
  8. For every change of a pitch, roll, yaw etc, however small, trim, trim and trim again.
  9. If you have the targets on your ABRIS screen I find the easiest way is to use the Shkval in combination with the ABRIS screen. The Shkval line of view and view position is indicated on the ABRIS screen with a yellow line terminated with a marker something like this | | Use the Shkval slew keys to place the marker on the ABRIS target and by doing so you are positioning the targets on your Shkval.
  10. You do not necessarily have to send him every target. If there is a cluster of tanks for example just mark and send one and then tell him to attack the group. As the targeting marks on the ABRIS are only guides once he picks them up he'll deal with the whole group. Tango's suggested way works well. If you want to store and send multiple targets then you need to use the "reset targeting" method I described in the first post.
  11. OK, I have it now as you describe. You have to do it a target ( or group ) at a time. For multiple stores and transfers you have to reset.
  12. Before I ask my question I'd like to say "what an awesome game", well done devs. Question, for the wise ones that frequent this forum ... I have been using the designate target procedure and transferring targets to my wingman. The basic procedure is to first record the targets in your ABRIS and then select each target on your ABRIS and transfer the information via the DataLink to your wingman. All this works except that after storing the targets in your own ABRIS you have to press "Reset Targeting" before sending to your wingman works. This seems odd as firstly is switches off the ShkVal when you really need it as you are in a combat situation, and secondly the targets are already in the ABRIS so you should, in my view, be able to send them to the wingman. Is this normal, a feature, or a program bug or should I be doing this another way? Thanks, Suvv. PS. Happy New Year.
