Hi guys, what is the current best VR build in the $2k - $2.5k price range. The machine will only be used for DCS VR flying.

Hi guys. So I have not invested in a new machine yet. I know its WAYYY overdue. What graphics settings should I use for now with a GTX 670 and an Oculus Rift?

My F15C begins rolling when the sim starts in the air and the controls are overly sensitive. Seems like it could be a trim issue. My A-10 flys perfectly stable and does not shutter like the F15. Thoughts? My frame rate doesn't seem to want to show when I check that as well.

I have tried to install Warthog HOTAS Profiles by Polaris & SchniX and it just is not mapping properly. It just maps a few random commands and all to different buttons on rudders, joystick and throttle. Any thoughts off hand? I have followed the directions and tried many times.

Hello, I wanted to see if there is anybody here from South Florida that I could hire to assist with setting up my quad screen Helios for F15C. Its just a little beyond my knowledge. I have the triple screen setup and working well currently.

How-To: Set up a 4-screen, T-shaped display in DCS
intenseas replied to GregP's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Greg, great write up! I am currently getting around 45fps and would like to add the 4th touch screen just like yours. Do you think my setup could handle it? If not, where should I look at upgrading. Currently running 3 27" monitors. Thanks in advance! -
Thank you soooooo much!!!! That worked. Looks great! Is there any way to zoom out?
-
Sorry meant 1920x1080. When I go under options and switch to 3 screens and 5760x1080 the program crashes but runs fine on 1920x1080

Hi all. I'm just installing DCS for the first time and trying to setup a basic 3 monitor setup to start with. They are 27" 1680x1050. Do I need to edit the lua file for this basic setup or is there an easier way to "plug and play"?

Components Chosen, Now Monitor Time!

I plan on overclocking. -
First off, I would like to thank everyone on this forum for assistance with educating me and convincing me to build a custom machine. I settled for the machine in my signature within my budget. Now its time to choose an initial monitor configuration. Do you think 3 27" monitors is too agressive for the machine I have being bult? Will it be able to produce an acceptable frame rate? Should I consider 3 smaller monitors? Should I consider just running 1 large 37"-40" LED panel instead? Here are the 27" monitors I am considering: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Acer+-+27%26%2334%3B+Widescreen+Flat-Panel+LED+HD+Monitor/4979847.p?id=1218587068725&skuId=4979847 I have looked at so many configurations on this forum and have seen so many great setups! Thanks in advance for input and suggestions.

So far I am considering possibly going with the 670 4gb instead of the 2gb...

Ok, I have had the custom build quote redone. Price is $1,500 and consists of the following: GTX 670 with 2g Video High end 240GB INTEL SSD hard drive total of 16G DDR3 memory Thermaltake V4 mid tower Extreme 650W PSU Cooler master Asus 1155 P8H-77V LE Core I5 2500K Box 3.3 ghz 6MB 1155 8GB Corsair 2x4gb DR3 1600 Kit SSD 240GB Intel 520 Win 7 64 Would you change anything up? All I am cocnerned about is running DCS at the highest frame rates. Thanks again all!!!

Hi guys. I want to spend about $1,500 on my custom build and here is the quote I received from a local computer shop. Thoughts? I want to run 3 monitors and high setting and really want to build upon the initial platform that I purchase. All suggestions would be much appreciated. computer quote.pdf

Ok, so I went from buying a new entry level computer and downloading DCS last week to now returning the computer and planning a full custom build system and configuration from the ground up... Wow... The plan now is to build a custom computer. I will hopefully have a good idea on the configuration this week. Priorities are to make sure I can easily upgrade the machine to keep expanding on the setup. I want to start with something that can handle 3 monitors on the high settings and then upgrade to an additional touchscreen for avionics eventually. I plan on buying the TM Warthog controls and Saitek rudders controls. Also need to decide what to do for head tracking. I will keep reading threads to try and decide on setup options and learn more. All input would be greatly appreciated on monitors, hardware, etc... I want to initially spend about $1,500 on the computer build alone.

Ok so after everyone's input and research on the forum I decided that I have to build my own computer. I will do more research and post a potential configuration before purchasing. Thanks In advance!!!
