no luck yet. I even tried to patch it with the Webdownload version of the patch - it worked and I did not get the error code but requires a Starforce validation # before I can play.

Is this patch available anywhere else for download.. or just on the mirrors from this site? Just to check again.. all I need is this patch correct??? I am using the CD version of lock on. I purchased it at Circut City and when I open the game the mainn menu Says Lock On 1.1. Thnaks

Thanks Viper.. weird thing is i am using no download accelerator of any kind. Nor have I ever even had one installed.

Ok I have uninstalled, reinstalled, tried to download the patch 8 different times from differnet mirrors. I have no AV running during dl. The game installs as I said fine to 1.1. I open it up.. the StarForce things scans and the bar goes all the way across. I am going from 1.1 (boxed US CD) to the patch 1.12a (boxed US CD). Its just not working. I am running WinXP w/sp, AMD4000+, 7800GTX and 2 GbRAM. I have never had any dl problems like this... rather discouraged here. Looks to be a great game. I am a IL2 and F4 player and need this patch if I want to play online. I would love to have someone tell me its just somthing foolish liek the wrong patch but I dont think so. I have doen a forum search and others say they fixed the problem with a redownload - its just not working for me. It would help if I could find out what Error Code 3 even means...

I purchased the box verision on Lock On Gold yesterday from Circut City. It installed fine up to 1.1 . I was able to get into the game, training, setup... without a problem. Wanted to patch it up to 1.12a I downloaded the boxed english version of the patch from several mirrors on the lockonru site. Each time it nearly completes setup of the patch then gives me "Error occurred during installation. Error code is 3. Setup not complete" I have dl's the patches with firewall, virus scan off, I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled all over again with the same darn error code keeps rearing its head. Any help would be appreciated. Thnaks! ELDo :D
