  2. Bien fait. Once you merge the M-2000C has a definite advantage over the F-15C, as you show in your video. BVR the F-15C should win every time. In the first engagement I noticed that your RWR was not in your field of view. I highly suggest changing your default trackir view to the old standard where the RWR is visible with your head in the normal position.   4. It works the same way with the F-16 where you have Cat III to limit AoA with external fuel tanks or bombs, and then you switch to Cat I once the aircraft has less weight. The Mirage 2000 is the first 4th Gen fighter in DCS to accurately represent these things.:thumbup:
  5. Why are we using them for WW2 multiplayer? I see that the two more popular servers have them. Is it a VR thing? For me the large impostors are just so bad I can't fly with them. Obviously, anyone is free to run his server with whatever settings he likes. I haven't hosted in a long while but I might start again. No impostors is just impossible to see for WW2, but small is a workable compromise. Sorry if this is technically the wrong forum, but in the multiplayer forum this will be lost in 10 seconds amidst the discussion of multiplayer jet combat.;)

  7. In the video the second magic is slaved to the radar even though we don't hear the tone. How does the pilot know this?
  8. Method 1 was the first thing I tried. No change. Just tried Method 2. No change. Only way to change the Mirage controls is from the in-game esc menu. From the main menu it's still the black screen every time.
  9. Wow, for me it's the opposite. I finally figured out I could change the controls from the in-game esc menu.
  10. Yes, you get zero warning for Fox-1 inbound. We're waiting, expectantly, to get it.
  11. Already tried that. Still get the black screen bug. Fortunately, I looked at an old thread and figured out that I can change the controls from the esc menu in flight. Now we're back to normal, whew!

  13. I still get the blackscreen bug after changing control assignments, but ONLY with the Mirage. All the other modules are fine. Yes, I know there is a workaround, but it would be nice if I didn't have to go through this with every patch. Thank you. ------------------- Ugh, workaround isn't working. I can't change my control assignments.:cry: ------------------ Ran a repair, it doesn't help. I still get a black screen any time I change a control assignment. I tried: removing options.lua, doesn't help removing my old control assignments and starting fresh, doesn't help :helpsmilie:

  16. It doesn't seem like the manual was updated to reflect the change. At least, I don't see in the manual what I see in the new HUD. All I get now when I select guns is a little circle with a dot in it corresponding to boresight. The snake is gone.
  17. You don't have it too? That's pretty surprising. Here is a track. All I do is leave the controls centered, throttle up, and let her go. First she tracks straight, but after 60 knots or so she yaws left, and the yaw accelerates until we go BOOM.:doh: This is with the latest NTTR released today, DCS 2.0.3.55945.98 Update 1. mirage yaw.zip
  18. Just tried the latest NTTR patch. The Mirage gunsight is completely different. Is the explanation of the change buried in the giant fix-it thread?

  21. Thank you for this thread. I don't own the F-5, but in the Mirage 2000 it is a really awful bug.
  22. I did adjust the seat and I know to make sure the radar altimeter is set to marche. I'll double check the RS selection as jojo points out.
  23. But if I do not select TAS mode the bombing pipper doesn't even appear. It's just a vertical line that never ends.
  24. The 109K is faster than the P-51D.:doh: We all seem to believe this, but are there charts or graphs to back it up? There is no way the P-51 climbs better than a 109K above 20,000ft, but is it faster? Does it have a clearly better sustained turn? P.S. Before you all get started, I'm talking about the in-game performance only.:smilewink:
  25. In multiplayer the P-51 should be flown with no more than 40% fuel, and if you drop a notch of flaps you can keep up with or even beat the 109K in a horizontal turn.
